Built to bend, built to stay outside
The 120V LED Rope Light is a continuous flexible tube of LEDs sealed in a durable clear jacket. That construction is what makes a rope light different from a standard tape: instead of a fragile adhesive strip, you get a rounded, self-protecting cord you can wrap around a post, tuck into a cove, staple along a fascia or coil in a display. The IP65 rating means the tube is sealed against dust and protected from water jets, so rain, melting snow, garage humidity and dusty workshops are not a problem. It is rated for indoor and outdoor use and can stay installed year-round.
Light quality and colour
This is a single-colour product in red: the rope glows in that saturated tone from end to end. With 39 LEDs per metre, the dots are close enough to read as a solid glowing line from a normal viewing distance, which is what makes rope light look so clean along a roof edge, a stair rail or a bar front. There is no colour-changing controller and no dimmer: the product is not dimmable, so it turns on at full brightness and stays there — simple, reliable and ideal for decorative accent lighting rather than task lighting.

Electrical and installation notes
Running on 120V line voltage keeps the install refreshingly simple — no separate low-voltage driver to hide and no voltage drop calculations across a long low-voltage run. Plan your layout first, then mount the rope with the proper clips or channel so it holds its shape and is not pinched or stretched. The 25 m roll covers long runs without interruption; if your project needs a shorter section, a corner jump or a branch, the dedicated 120V rope light connectors and accessories (cut points, splices, end caps, power cords, mounting clips) let you finish the run properly and keep the sealed ends protected. Any permanent outdoor connection should be made with the correct accessory and kept out of standing water.
Where people use it
Think backyard terraces and decks, pergolas and gazebos, garden fences and walkways, camping trailers and RV awnings, sheds, garages and workshops, basement bars and home theatres, plus commercial spots like restaurant patios, bars and nightclubs, arenas and community centres, retail windows and seasonal displays. A red run along a bar front, under a deck bench or outlining a display — the effect is immediate and the material cost per metre of light is hard to beat. If you would rather have a neutral glow instead of a colour, the same rope is offered in a white LED rope light version.
