Built to last on the railThe UNIVERSAL is a line voltage aluminum cylinder fixture designed around a PAR light source. Its body is constructed of
die cast aluminum, a material chosen for superior strength and rigidity, which matters on a
track light head that gets handled, re-aimed and moved from one section of rail to another over the years. The softened edges add up to a low profile aesthetic design, so the head reads as a discreet cylinder rather than a bulky projector — an easy match with the
brushed nickel hardware already in most kitchens and retail interiors.
Light quality and aimingLight output is entirely up to the PAR lamp you choose, which is exactly the point: pick a narrow spot for a painting, a wider flood for a merchandising table, and swap it later without touching the fixture. The head accepts
120V PAR lamps on a
porcelain socket, E26 base, 150 watts maximum, and a high temperature glass shield is included and mounted to the front of the lamp fixture. Aiming is where this cylinder earns its name:
180° vertical rotation and 358° horizontal rotation give a wide range of light source aiming possibilities, and the front-loading design assures a secure lock on the angle position so your carefully set beam stays put.

Electrical, dimming and compatibilityThis is a
line voltage fixture: 120V / 60Hz input, 120V output, 150W maximum load, no transformer or driver to worry about. It is dimmable when used with
electronic line voltage rated dimming controls only — an important detail to pass along to your electrician, since the wrong control type is the usual cause of buzz or flicker on a track run. On the mechanical side, Liteline track fixtures are compatible with
A-Line, Halo® and Lightolier® and most brands configured to the Halo® track system design, and the ordering guide lists connector types for Liteline, A-Line (ATK), Halo compatible and Lightolier compatible, along with 12", 18", 24", 36" and 48" stem rods and the BK, BN and WH trim finishes. Accessories should be ordered separately.
Where to use it and what's documentedThink retail displays and shelving, gallery and office corridors, restaurant and café walls, salon stations, kitchen islands, loft ceilings and finished basements — anywhere a row of aimable
track lighting heads beats a fixed grid of recessed cans. Mixing finishes along one rail is a good look too, so the
Universal track fixture in black and the
Universal track fixture in white share the same body and the same
PAR lamp platform. The full UNI1190-BN spec sheet, including the connector compatibility chart and the complete ordering guide, is available in the Documentation tab.
