Built for the road
The housing is die casting Aluminium finished in grey with a corrosion-resistant coating, and the optical cover is clear polycarbonate — a combination that shrugs off hail, road spray, branches and the occasional flying stone. The IK08 impact rating and IP65 sealing mean water and dust stay outside while the driver and LED board stay dry, and the 4.00 KG weight keeps pole loading modest. Heat is managed by the cast aluminum body itself, which is why this LED street light fixture can run continuously from -30°C to 45°C without derating drama. Installation is flexible: wall & poll mount, with a 150 cable length supplied.
Light quality and distribution
The engine uses 96 Philips 3030 LEDs producing 8,355 lumens of 4000K neutral white light with a CRI of 70. That colour temperature is the sweet spot for roadway work — whiter and more alert than old high-pressure sodium, but not harsh. The TYPE III optic pushes light forward and laterally, the classic street-and-parking-lot pattern that lets you space poles along one side of a roadway and still get even coverage across the lanes. Output is flicker-free, which matters for security cameras and for driver comfort, and lumen maintenance is rated L70 at 50,000 hrs.
Electrical and controls
The driver accepts 100-277V at 50/60Hz, so the same SKU works on the feed you already have on site. Real max power is 70 W, power factor is 95 % and THD is held at 15 %. Surge protection is rated 10KV both with and without grounding — a real asset on exposed pole runs where lightning and utility transients are a fact of life. The LED array runs at 96Vdc and 685MA. The fixture is 0-10V DC dimmable, so it can be tied into a timeclock or a central dimming controller, and the included 3pin twist lock photocell gives automatic dusk-to-dawn operation right out of the box. The fixture is cUL listed; UPC 882110006727.

Applications and documentation
Think municipal side streets and rural intersections, condominium and apartment access roads, industrial park circulation lanes, truck yards, marina and campground roads, school and church parking areas, dealership lots and long farm laneways. A 70W head with 8,355 lumens and Type III optics is also a smart one-for-one replacement when a tired HID cobra head finally gives up — same pole, far less energy, and no warm-up delay after a power blink. Contractors like the twist lock socket because a photocell swap is a thirty-second job from a bucket, not a rewiring project. The full technical PDF (FICHE TECHNIQUE SE3MCGD40700PHD) is available in the Documentation tab with the complete photometric, electrical, mechanical and packaging data — worth downloading before you finalize pole spacing and mounting heights on your layout.
