Small in size, big on style: the Orbit 2" LED gimbal recessed light in black (SKU SCP2-5W-M-CCT-BK) brings precise, adjustable accent lighting to ceilings where a standard pot light would feel too bulky. This 2-inch recessed downlight is a 5W gimbal fixture with a medium 38° beam, a black finish and a head that rotates and tilts so you can aim light at art, shelving, a fireplace or a kitchen island. People searching for a recessed gimbal, a mini pot light or a black LED pot light will find here a compact fixture that suits modern homes, condos, restaurants and boutiques.

Its real specs are made for everyday comfort. The CCT5 feature gives you 5 selectable colour temperatures, so one fixture can go from a cosy warm white in the living room to a crisp white in a kitchen or a store. A high 90 CRI renders skin tones, wood, food and fabrics naturally. The fixture is dimmable and works with TRIAC and ELV dimmers, it is IC rated for direct contact with insulation, airtight, and wet location rated, so it can go in a shower area or under an exterior soffit. It is also Title 24 (T24) compliant and Energy Star certified, with a durable aluminum body.

Designed for retrofit work, it installs from below with spring-loaded clips that hold in any ceiling material, which makes it a favourite for basement finishing, condo renovations and new builds alike across Canada. Choose black for a bold, contemporary contrast on a white ceiling or to blend into a dark or exposed ceiling; for a more discreet look, the Orbit 2" gimbal recessed light in white offers the same design. Plan your layout today and aim your light where it matters.

A compact gimbal downlight with full aiming freedom
The Orbit SCP2-5W-M-CCT-BK is a 2" LED gimbal recessed fixture built for accent and general lighting in tight spaces. The head rotates and tilts to direct the medium 38° beam onto a painting, a bookcase, a stone wall or a merchandise display. Its durable aluminum body and black finish give a clean, architectural look that stands out on light ceilings and disappears on dark ones.

Light quality you can adjust
With CCT5, the fixture offers 5 selectable colour temperatures from a switch, so you can match the light to the room or to other fixtures before closing the ceiling. The 90 CRI output shows true colours, a real plus in kitchens, bathrooms, dressing rooms, galleries and retail spaces. The 5W LED is dimmable with TRIAC and ELV dimmers, letting you set a soft evening ambiance or full brightness for tasks, while using far less energy than an old halogen spot.

Ratings for demanding locations
This recessed light is IC rated, so it can be in direct contact with ceiling insulation, and it is airtight, which helps limit air leaks through the ceiling, an important detail in Canadian homes with a vapour barrier. It is wet location rated and suitable for indoor and outdoor use, so it works in showers, covered balconies and soffits. The fixture is Energy Star certified, cETLus approved and Title 24 (T24) compliant.

Installation
The Orbit is designed for retrofit applications. A class II electronic LED driver connects with quick-connect push-in terminals and a DC connector, and two spring-loaded clips secure the fixture to any ceiling material from below. Cut the opening, make the connections in the driver box, pass everything through the hole and push the fixture into place. It is a quick, clean job for electricians and experienced renovators, whether in a basement, a condo or a new build.

Where it shines
Use several Orbit fixtures to highlight a gallery wall in a hallway, to add accent light over open kitchen shelving, to frame a fireplace or to spotlight products in a boutique or a restaurant. Its wet rating also makes it a smart pick for a shower niche or an exterior soffit, where a black trim adds a modern touch to the façade. For a softer look on a white ceiling, the same fixture comes in white: Orbit 2" recessed light in white.
