Looking for a recessed downlight that handles bathrooms, soffits, and covered porches without a second thought? The 3.5" LUNA SQ FIXED (SKU: RA35S-12F-90WH) is a square recessed light — also called a pot light or recessed fixture — built by LITELINE for homeowners and contractors who need a fixture that simply works, indoors or out. Its square trim gives ceilings a clean, modern look that stands apart from the usual round can light, making it a favourite for kitchen soffits, hallways, and basement recessed lighting upgrades.

This 3.5" fixture runs on 12W and delivers 90 CRI for true, vibrant colour rendering — an easy upgrade if you're chasing better light quality than a basic builder-grade downlight. It's a 27K-50K selectable colour temperature unit, so you pick the exact white light you want on install, from warm 2700K ambiance to crisp 5000K daylight, without stocking multiple SKUs. It's fully dimmable for mood control, rated IC for safe direct contact with insulation, and carries a WETLOC wet-location rating, meaning it's approved for damp and wet areas like showers, covered porches, and soffits. It also meets ENERGY STAR and Title 24 requirements, so it qualifies for efficiency-focused projects and rebate programs where applicable, and comes finished in clean white.

Because it's IC-rated, wet-location listed, and dimmable all in one, the LUNA SQ FIXED covers an unusually wide range of Canadian jobs: basement ceilings buried in insulation, bathroom and shower recessed lighting, covered exterior soffits that need to survive our winters, and any renovation where you want a tidy square profile instead of a round trim. It belongs to the same LUNA family as the 3.5" LUNA Fixed 12W 30K 90CRI black and the 3.5" LUNA Fixed 12W 30K 90CRI brushed nickel if you need a fixed colour temperature or a different finish for the same room. Grab the RA35S-12F-90WH for your next reno and get pot lights that hold up wherever you install them.

Considering a 3.5" recessed downlight for a whole-house lighting refresh? The RA35S-12F-90WH is part of LITELINE's LUNA square recessed line, engineered to replace old can lights with a tighter, more architectural square profile while keeping installation just as simple for electricians and DIYers alike.

Light quality that actually looks good
With a 90 CRI rating, this fixture renders skin tones, wood finishes, and paint colours far more accurately than the low-CRI downlights still common in older homes. Combined with its 27K-50K selectable colour temperature, you get the flexibility to dial in warm white for a cozy living room or cooler daylight tones for a kitchen or workspace — all from the same SKU, so contractors can standardize inventory across jobs with different lighting needs.

Built for tough locations
The IC rating means this fixture is certified for direct contact with insulation, a must for modern airtight construction and retrofit ceilings. The WETLOC wet-location listing extends its use to showers, covered soffits, and other damp or wet zones where standard recessed lights aren't permitted — a detail worth checking before you finalize any bathroom or exterior soffit lighting plan. It's also fully dimmable, working with compatible dimmers to fine-tune ambiance room by room.

Where it fits in your project
This fixture suits any renovation or new build where a compact square recessed light is preferred over round trims — think condo hallways, basement ceilings packed with insulation, and exterior soffits across Canadian climates where wet-location approval matters. If your project calls for a different colour temperature option instead of the selectable range, the LUNA family also includes fixed-CCT versions like the 3.5" LUNA Fixed 12W 35K 90CRI black and 3.5" LUNA Fixed 12W 35K 90CRI brushed nickel, plus the 27K options in black and brushed nickel finishes to match your existing hardware.
