Looking for a clean, modern recessed downlight that handles almost any room — including bathrooms, soffits, and covered porches? The 3.5" LUNA SQ Fixed (SKU: RA35S-12F-90BK) is a square recessed fixture from LITELINE built for exactly that. Whether you call it a recessed light, a pot light, or a square encastré, this fixture delivers a sharp, trimless-looking square profile that works beautifully in kitchens, hallways, basements, and commercial ceilings alike, giving you the crisp modern look homeowners and contractors keep asking for.

Under the hood, this little fixture packs real performance: 12W of LED power, 90 CRI for true, vibrant colour rendering, and a 27K-50K color temperature range so you can dial in anywhere from warm cozy ambiance to crisp daylight-white task lighting — all from one fixture. It's fully dimmable for smooth, flicker-free control, rated IC (insulation contact) for safe direct contact with insulation, and WETLOC rated for wet locations, meaning it can go where many standard pot lights simply can't — think covered exterior soffits, showers, and humid basements. It also carries ENERGY STAR (ESTAR) certification and meets Title 24 requirements, so it checks the box for energy-conscious builds and renovation projects that need to meet code. Finished in sleek black, it disappears into dark ceilings for a clean, shadow-free look.

This is the fixture to reach for on any Canadian renovation or new-build project where reliability and versatility matter — condos, basements, rental units, offices, retail spaces, and covered outdoor soffits that see real winter and humidity swings. Contractors love it because one SKU covers multiple color temperature needs and passes energy code requirements right out of the box. It pairs naturally with the rest of the LUNA family if you need matching finishes or fixed color temperature options, such as the 3.5" LUNA Fixed 12W 30K 90CRI Black or the 3.5" LUNA Fixed 12W 35K 90CRI Black. Ready to upgrade your ceiling? Add this fixture to your next project and get a downlight that's built to last.

Built for real conditions
The 3.5" LUNA SQ Fixed isn't just another recessed downlight — it's engineered to handle the tougher installs. Its WETLOC wet-location rating means it can be installed in covered soffits, above showers, or in other damp environments where ordinary fixtures would fail. The IC rating lets installers pack insulation directly against the housing without creating a fire hazard, which speeds up installation in retrofit and new-construction ceilings alike. The square shape and low-profile trim give it a clean, architectural look that fits both residential and light commercial ceilings.

Light quality that actually looks good
With a 90 CRI rating, this fixture renders colors far more accurately than typical big-box downlights, so paint colors, wood finishes, and skin tones all look true to life — a big deal in kitchens, bathrooms, and retail displays. The 27K-50K color temperature range gives installers and homeowners flexibility: warm 2700K tones for cozy living spaces, or up to 5000K daylight-white for task-focused areas like garages, offices, or workshops. Combined with smooth dimming compatibility, you get full control over the mood and function of any room.

Efficient, certified, code-ready
At just 12W, the RA35S-12F-90BK delivers strong output while keeping energy draw low — a welcome change from older halogen or incandescent recessed cans that could pull five times the wattage for similar output. It carries ENERGY STAR certification and satisfies Title 24 requirements, making it a solid choice for projects that need to demonstrate energy compliance, from residential retrofits to multi-unit residential buildings.
