Built for real-world LED loadsThe Skylark LED+ dimmer is a wallbox control designed around one stubborn problem: LED bulbs and drivers that flicker, buzz or drop out when you push a dimmer too low. LED+ includes advanced dimming technology for
dimmable LED, CFL, halogen and incandescent bulbs, and it is ULR Listed to control dimmable LEDs, dimmable compact fluorescent lamps (CFL) with integrated ballast, Lutron LTEA Hi-lume 1% forward-phase LED drivers, halogen and incandescent sources. The face is an on/off rocker switch with a linear slider, sized for a standard designer wallplate opening, and each unit is 100% factory tested. This control was formerly known as C•L.
Light quality and fine tuningBehind the wallplate you get three controls: the switch turns the lights on and off, the slider sets the light level, and the
low-end adjustment (lever type or wheel type) sets the low-end dimming limit. Set the slider to the bottom before adjusting the dimming range, then raise or lower the limit until your bulbs hold a stable, silent low glow. Because the switch returns the load to its previous level and the dimmer has
power-failure memory, your chosen brightness survives both a nightly on/off and a power outage. Keep the same lamp model on a circuit whenever you can — mixing several different bulb types on one load is the most common cause of uneven dimming.

Installation, multigang and 3-wayCut power at the panel, confirm your wiring and check box depth first. When installing more than one dimmer in the same wallbox, some side sections may need to be removed before wiring — never remove the outside sections — and removing them reduces the maximum wattage: with no sides removed you may add up to 600 W of incandescent/halogen at 0 W of LED/CFL, 500 W in the 1 W – 25 W LED band, 400 W from 26 W – 50 W, 300 W from 51 W – 75 W, 200 W from 76 W – 100 W, 100 W from 101 W – 125 W and 0 W from 126 W – 150 W; each step down (1 side, 2 sides removed) drops those figures again. For
3-way and 4-way switching, use Claro switches or other mechanical switches. Only bulbs marked or rated as DIMMABLE may be used, and some dimmable LEDs and CFLs require a minimum number of bulbs to operate properly. Note that the wallplate is sold separately.
Applications, alternatives and documentationThink of a kitchen island on pot lights, a home theatre in the basement, a dining room chandelier, or a salon that wants bright light for service and low light at closing. Renovating a whole floor? Keep the same control family throughout for a consistent look: the
Lutron Skylark LED dimmer 150W covers the lighter finish, while the
Lutron Diva LED dimmer 150W in black offers a paddle-and-slider layout. If you want app or remote control instead, look at the
