How 0-10V dimming actually worksPhase-cut controls dim by chopping the incoming power waveform, which is why cheap combinations can hum, flicker or stop short of a true low end. A
0-10V dimmer works differently: it keeps line power intact and sends a separate low-voltage control signal on its own pair of conductors to a compatible LED driver or ballast. The driver reads that signal and adjusts output accordingly. Because the signal travels on dedicated wires, performance stays consistent even on longer runs, and multiple fixtures can be grouped on a single control for clean zone-by-zone scenes. That's the reason this protocol dominates
LED panels, linear fixtures, recessed lighting and architectural jobs where smooth, silent control is non-negotiable.
Build and controlsThe unit uses a
modern sliding dimmer design in a standard size, so it drops into a regular device box and lines up with the rest of your plates. The body and finish are white, giving a neutral look in homes, offices and commercial suites. What sets it apart is the sensitivity adjustment knob: different drivers respond differently at the bottom of their range, and the knob lets you tune the minimum level so the light fades gracefully instead of cutting out. It is a
0-10V dimming only control — it is not intended for phase-cut or ELV loads.

Wiring and installationInstallation is straightforward for a qualified electrician: line and neutral connect as usual, while the dedicated dimming conductors run to the driver, respecting polarity. The spec sheet shows two wiring approaches —
wiring with dimming wires only, without using the on/off feature, which allows an unlimited number of fixtures on the dimming signal, and
wiring for dimming with the on/off feature, where the connected load must stay within the
720W capacity. Because the control is rated single pole / 3 way, it also drops into an existing three-way circuit for staircases, hallways and large rooms with two entrances. Always confirm the total connected load and verify local code requirements before energizing.
Where it fits and what's availableThink open-concept homes where the kitchen, dining and living zones share one lighting scene; boardrooms where a presentation calls for 20% output; classrooms, clinics, restaurants, hotel lobbies and retail displays where consistent, quiet control matters all day. Pair it with any luminaire listed as
0-10V dimmable — panels, linear high bays, recessed downlights or troffers with a 0-10V driver. For rooms on standard phase-cut LED loads, our catalogue also offers the
Lutron Skylark LED dimmer - 150W, the
Lutron Diva LED dimmer - 150W and the
Leviton LED dimmer - white - 450W, and for wireless scene control the
Lutron Caseta starter kit. The full
