Built for long, clean runsThe tape is built on a 12mm-wide PCB with 3oz copper, a heavier copper weight that helps pull heat away from the diodes and keeps brightness and colour stable over time. Sixty LEDs per meter are spaced tightly enough that, once mounted in an aluminum extrusion with a frosted lens, the line reads as a continuous glow rather than a row of dots. Cut marks fall every 100mm, so you can trim the tape to the exact length of a cabinet, a stair riser or a cove without wasting material, and the maximum recommended run is 10m per power feed.
Light quality: real whites, real colourRGBW means four chips: red, green and blue for the colour scenes, plus a dedicated white LED at 3000K for everyday lighting. That separate white channel is what lets you use the same installation as your main accent light during the week and as a colour wash for an event. Colour rendering is CRI 90+, which matters in kitchens, bathrooms, retail displays and anywhere finishes and products need to look true. The 120º beam angle spreads the output wide and even, ideal for bouncing light off a ceiling or wall.

Electrical and installationThis is a constant-voltage 24V DC product: it needs a 24V driver or power supply sized for the total load, with headroom for the full four channels, and an RGBW controller (wall-mount, remote or app-based) between the driver and the tape. Feed longer installations from both ends or split them into separate runs of 10m or less to avoid voltage drop and colour shift at the far end. Keep polarity and channel order consistent at every solder point or clip connector, run the tape on a clean, dry surface, and mount it in an aluminum profile whenever it sits close to wood, MDF or drywall — the channel acts as a heat sink and protects the tape. Dimming is handled on the low-voltage side through the controller or a compatible driver, not with a standard line-voltage wall dimmer.
Where it earns its keep — and documentationThink basement home theatres and bars, kitchen coves and under-cabinet lighting, floating vanities, stairway handrails, garage shelving, restaurant booths, hotel lobbies, retail shelving and display cases, salon reception walls, and seasonal colour on a commercial storefront. Contractors like the 24V platform for condos and long open-plan spaces where 12V would fade out too quickly. If you need matching white-only tape for adjacent areas, the
LED strip 9.6W/m 24V 48W 30K IP66 and the
LED strip 4.8W/m 24V 24W 30K IP66 keep the same 24V system, while the
LED strip 14.4W/m 24V 72W RGB IP22 is the colour-only option. The technical PDF spec sheet for LCLS24V-96W-RGBW30K-IP66-30M is available in the Documentation tab — check it before ordering drivers and controllers.
