With 480 LEDs per metre packed onto the board, you get a smooth luminous surface that looks premium even when the source is partly visible: cove lighting, under-cabinet lighting, mirror backlighting, stair treads, millwork reveals and feature walls.

Traditional SMD strips space individual diodes along a flexible board, which is why you see hot spots and shadows through a diffuser. The Single Color 10W COBFlex LED Strip uses Chip-on-Board technology, placing hundreds of tiny chips on a shared substrate under a phosphor layer. At 146 LEDs/ft (480 LEDs/M), the result is a continuous line of light with excellent colour consistency, optimized from the start for installation in aluminum channel systems. The flexible board is 5/8" (16mm) wide and only 1/16" (2mm) thick, so this COB LED tape tucks into shallow reveals, cabinet toe-kicks and slim recessed profiles without telegraphing its presence.

Wiring, cutting and installation
Installation is straightforward: peel the double-sided 3M tape on the back and press the strip into a clean, dry channel or surface. Cut only on the marked increments — every 5/8" (16mm) — and remember that each reel arrives with a 24" (60cm) wire lead on both ends, which makes it easy to reach a junction box or driver from either side of a run. Connections can be made with the COB solderless connector family: LS-SC1-COB seamless strip-to-strip, LS-SC2-COB with a 24" wire lead, LS-SC2-COB-20 extended connector with 20' (6.1m) lead, LS-SC3-COB with connectors on both ends, LS-SC4-COB L-connector for corners and the compact LS-BK-SC2-COB wire-to-strip connector. Running on 24V DC rather than 12V means longer continuous runs with less voltage drop across a room. Size your Class II low-voltage power supply to the total wattage of the run, and choose a dimmable driver if you want dimming.
