For high ceilings and big displays, the Athena PAR38 spotlight is the heavy hitter of the line: a line voltage track lighting head built for large PAR38 lamps. Adjustable, lightweight and high-styled, its exposed lamp design lets you pick the lamp and throw a strong, directional beam onto a feature wall, a vehicle in a showroom, a stage, a large painting or a retail end cap. Also searched as a track light head, a PAR38 track fixture or a track spotlight, model LCTL-ATH-PAR38-BK comes in black, a natural match for black track, open ceilings and industrial interiors.

The body is constructed of die cast aluminum, which provides superior strength and rigidity, and softened edges add up to a low profile, designer look, even at this size. A porcelain socket holds 120V PAR38 lamps, 150 watts max, loaded from the rear, and a high temperature glass shield is included, mounted to the front of the fixture. The head offers 90° of vertical rotation and 330° of horizontal rotation for a wide range of aiming possibilities, then assures a secure lock on the angle position. The largest lamp in the Athena line
The ATHENA (model PAR222/38 on the spec sheet) is an adjustable, lightweight, high-styled, exposed lamp design, line voltage track lighting fixture, and this PAR38 version takes the biggest lamp of the family. This black model, LCTL-ATH-PAR38-BK, is constructed of die cast aluminum, which provides superior strength and rigidity, a real benefit for a head carrying a large lamp. Softened edges add up to the low profile aesthetic design, and a high temperature glass shield is included, mounted to the front of the fixture.

Lamping and light output
ATHENA provides rear load lamping into a porcelain socket for 120V PAR38 lamps, 150 watts max, with a directional light source for special aiming. PAR38 lamps are the go-to choice when light has to travel: high ceilings, deep displays, tall shelving or architectural features. With a PAR38 LED lamp, you choose the beam, from a narrow spot that reaches a distant target to a wide flood that covers a large wall, and the colour, from warm white in a restaurant to neutral white in a showroom.

Electrical and installation details
The fixture is rated for a 120V / 60Hz input and a 120V output, with a 150W maximum load, and it is cULus listed. It is dimmable when used with electronic line voltage rated dimming controls only, so pair dimmable lamps with a suitable dimmer. Its vertical rotation of 90° and horizontal rotation of 330° provide a wide range of aiming possibilities, and the angle locks securely once set. The connector compatibility chart on the spec sheet shows the connector styles offered for the series; confirm the right one for your track before installing, and note that accessories should be ordered separately.
