Designed first and foremost for restaurants and dining rooms, the DINE PAR20 surface spotlight (SKU LCTL-DINE-SURF-BK) is a surface mount lighting fixture with a smooth black cylindrical body that brings focused, low-glare light to tables, counters and feature walls. Rather than sitting on a track, this surface mount spotlight attaches to an industry standard 4-inch octagon box, a clean option when you love the look of track light heads but have no track to run. It suits residential and commercial projects alike.

Constructed of aluminum for strength and rigidity, it houses an E26 porcelain socket for 120V PAR20, R20, PAR16 or A19 lamps, 50W max, so you choose the bulb, colour temperature and output that fit the room. Its standout feature is the adjustable beam spread: raise or lower the lamp holder bracket up to 2 inches with the adjustment screw and the beam varies from 20° to 110°, from a tight pool on a plate to a wide wash across a wall. With compatible dimmable lamps it is dimmable on industry standard TRIAC controls, ideal for setting the mood from lunch service to a candlelit dinner.

This surface mount fixture provides low-glare lighting and the flexibility to make on-site adjustments, for well-balanced horizontal and vertical illumination on both high and low ceilings. Its aluminum body provides superior strength and rigidity, and its smooth cylindrical shape, here in black, looks sharp against dark or exposed ceilings.

Lamping and adjustable beam
Inside is an E26 porcelain lamp socket for 120V lamps: PAR20, R20, PAR16 or A19 up to 50W max. The lamp holder bracket is height adjustable up to 2 inches, and turning the adjustment screw changes the beam spread angle anywhere from 20° to 110°. That means one fixture can create a narrow, dramatic pool over a single table or a broad, even wash across a long banquette, and you can fine-tune it on site once the furniture is in place.

Installation and dimming
The fixture mounts to an industry standard 4-inch octagon box, so it installs on a standard ceiling box, in a renovation or a new build. It is dimmable with industry standard TRIAC dimming controls when used with compatible dimmable lamps, so choose a lamp rated for dimming. Accessories are ordered separately: the ordering guide lists 1-inch, 2-inch and 4-inch snoots (DNG-SN1, DNG-SN2 and DNG-SN4), available in black or white with a golden interior. As with any hardwired fixture, have a qualified electrician make the connection.
