Built for everyday fixtures
The PLYC1282 keeps the classic A19 bulb silhouette so it looks right in exposed fixtures, table lamps with GU24 sockets, semi-flush ceiling mounts and vanity bars. Its plastic casing measures 60 mm in diameter by 108 mm in length, a compact profile that clears most shades, globes and diffusers without pressing against the glass. The GU24 twist-and-lock base is the key detail: two pins, a quarter turn, and the bulb is mechanically locked into the socket — no threading, no cross-threading, and no risk of installing a non-compliant screw-base lamp where an energy-efficient socket is required.
Light quality you actually want to live with
At 2700K, this is warm white light — the friendly, slightly golden tone associated with traditional incandescent bulbs. It flatters wood, warm paint colours, skin tones and food, which is why it stays the favourite for living rooms, bedrooms, dining areas and hospitality settings. The 270° beam angle sends light almost all the way around the bulb rather than straight ahead, so ceiling fixtures, wall sconces and pendants wash a room evenly instead of creating a harsh hot spot. With 800 lumens from just 9W of draw, you get the brightness people expect from a 60W halogen while using far less energy.

Electrical, dimming and installation notes
The bulb runs on standard 120V residential and commercial power, so no driver, transformer or extra hardware is needed. Dimming range is 10% to 100%, giving you genuine low-end control for evening ambiance rather than a lamp that cuts out halfway down the slider. As with any dimmable LED bulb, pair it with an LED-compatible dimmer and, when several bulbs share one circuit, use the same model throughout so they track together smoothly. Installation takes seconds: cut power at the switch, let the old lamp cool, align the two pins of the GU24 base with the socket, push gently and turn a quarter turn until it seats. The wide operating range of -40 to 45°C means it also handles unheated porches, garages, cottages and three-season rooms.
Where it pays off, and documentation
Think of the places where bulbs are annoying to reach or expensive to service: stairwell ceilings, corridor fixtures in a duplex, café wall sconces, hotel and student-housing rooms, clinic waiting areas, retail change rooms. At 25,000 hours of rated life, a single changeover covers years of normal use and dramatically reduces ladder time for property managers and contractors. Buy in quantity for a full-building retrofit and you get consistent 2700K colour across every room — no mismatched warm-and-cool patchwork.
