Built for flexible lightingThe LCTK-6002-SL is a
silver track section, 2 ft long (24 in, 610 mm), designed for residential and commercial projects. Its
extruded aluminum body houses flat, solid integral conductors rated at 20 amps; the copper conductors, in 12 gauge, sit in PVC insulators and are concealed in an insulating thermoplastic insert with a low profile. Once powered, the track becomes a line where you can place, reposition and aim your
track lighting heads wherever they are needed.
Electrical characteristicsThis
single-circuit track is intended for 120 V applications. Its single hot and neutral conductors are rated for 20 amps per branch circuit, and the system electrical rating is
20 A, 120 V, 60 Hz. The
polarity groove on the face of the track indicates the location of the grounding conductor, which helps keep feeds and connectors in the right orientation. Always turn off the power at the breaker and entrust the connection to a qualified electrician, following the electrical code in your province.
Completing the systemThe spec sheet, available in the Documentation tab, lists the accessories of the same track system, all sold separately. For power, choose a live end (from the end of the track, no canopy), a live end with canopy (from a junction box), a live-end conduit feed, a
center feed that powers the track from any point along its length, or a wired end that takes power from a receptacle. For the layout, use an I-connector (180°), an L-connector (90°), a T-connector, an X-connector or a flexible connector for varying angles, then close the run with an
end cap; a hollow stem rod kit lets you suspend the track. To extend the run in the same finish, add the
4 ft silver track; this 2 ft section also comes as a
black 2 ft track and a
white 2 ft track.
