Built small, built tough
The mini G4 format leaves almost no room for error, so this bulb keeps things simple and solid: a single COB LED chip from Epistar sealed inside clear silicone. The silicone body is what gives the bulb its rubbery, flexible feel — handy when you are pushing a capsule into a tight puck housing or a chandelier socket with your fingertips. The clear lens keeps the light crisp and unfiltered, and the two-pin G4 base matches the sockets already in your fixtures, so there is no adapter, no rewiring and no drilling involved.
Light quality and output
With a 360 degree beam angle, this capsule behaves much more like the halogen it replaces than a flat directional LED does: light wraps around the lamp and fills the housing evenly, which matters in frosted puck lights, glass shades and open chandelier arms. Warm white sits at 3000-3500K for that cozy, familiar glow in living spaces, while cool white at 6000-7000K gives a bright, crisp, almost daylight feel for task areas and display work. Output is 220 lumens in warm white and 240 lumens in cool white from only 3W of draw.

Electrical and installation notes
This is a 12V DC bulb, full stop. Many G4 fixtures are fed by a magnetic or electronic AC transformer, and others by a DC driver — they are not interchangeable. Before ordering, look at the label on your transformer or power supply: you need a DC output. Putting a DC bulb on an AC circuit will damage both the bulb and the fixture, and that damage is not covered by the warranty. The bulb is also non-dimmable, so run it on a standard switch rather than a dimmer. Installation itself is quick: cut power, pull the old halogen capsule straight out of its two-pin socket, push the new one in, restore power. Because the LED runs far cooler than halogen, you also avoid the scorched shades and heat-stressed sockets that come with the old technology.
Where it earns its keep, and documentation
Think kitchen under-cabinet pucks and toe-kick lighting, bathroom vanity bars, stair and hallway accents, bookcase and curio cabinet lighting, RV, trailer, cottage and marine fixtures running on 12V, plus crystal chandeliers and wall sconces with mini bi-pin sockets. On the commercial side, it suits jewellery and watch display cases, boutique shelving, reception millwork and restaurant accent fixtures where small lamps run long hours and replacing halogens is a constant chore. The full technical spec sheet for this bulb is available in the Documentation tab of this page — download it to confirm dimensions and voltage against your existing fixture before you order, and keep it on file for your electrician or your project binder.
