What the PF614 plaster frame doesThe PF614 is a plaster frame — a mounting or rough-in frame — for 6-inch ultra-slim LED recessed lights. Instead of cutting holes into a finished ceiling and hoping the spacing is right, you install the frames during rough-in, snap the drywall or plaster over them, and the openings land exactly where the electrical plan called for. It is the accessory specifically listed for the
FLP6-13W-3CCT-WH-2H 6-inch downlight, which needs a
6 5/8'' hole and has an overall trim of
7 1/16'' / 180 mm diameter by
1 3/4'' / 44,8 mm high. On big layouts — hallways, open kitchens, office grids — frames are what keep every
recessed LED downlight in a straight, evenly spaced line.
The fixture it works withThe matching LUMIFARO ultra-slim fixture is a
2-hour fire-rated unit recognized under
UL-263, ASTM E119 and CAN/ULC S101, and it is
IC and airtight as well as approved for
damp locations. It draws
13 watts at
120 volts and puts out
1050 lumens with a
120° beam angle for wide, even coverage, a
CRI greater than 80 for natural-looking skin tones and finishes, and
3CCT selectable colour temperature — meaning 3 selectable colour temperatures,
3000K,
4000K or
5000K, set with a button on the fixture before installation. Operating temperature runs from -25° to +45°, which suits unheated garages, cottages and covered porches across Canadian seasons. Warranty on the fixture is
3 years.

Wiring and dimming notesInstallation of the fixture stays simple: the cable runs to the junction box with
quick-connect push-in terminals — black wire, white wire, green wire — so there is nothing to strip and twist inside a tight ceiling cavity. Always shut off the power before connecting an LED device, otherwise the driver can be damaged. On
dimming, these ultra-slim ceiling lights work with most dimmers; since LED dimmers are generally rated for a maximum of 150 watts, do not exceed 80% of that capacity to avoid flicker at the low end of the dial — the documentation gives the example of a maximum of 8 6-inch units (120 watts total) or 13 4-inch units (117 watts total) per dimmer. Where the junction box can't sit right at the fixture, the
FLP-EX6-CCT 6 ft extension gives you the reach.
Applications and documentationUse the PF614 on new residential construction, basement and attic conversions, condo and multi-unit projects, and commercial ceilings in offices, clinics, salons, boutiques and restaurants — anywhere a
fire-rated recessed downlight has to be positioned before the ceiling closes. Contractors often order frames by the ceiling: one per fixture, laid out from the drawings, then the drywall crew cuts to the frame. Full details, dimensions and the installation diagram for the PF614 plaster frame and its matching fixture are in the
technical PDF (PF614 Spec Sheet) available in the Documentation tab of this page.
