Built for a clean rough-inA mounting frame does one job and does it well: it holds the position of a
recessed light in the ceiling before the drywall goes up, so every fixture lands where the plan says it should. The
PF378 from LUMIFARO is meant for the rough-in stage of residential and commercial projects, where electricians set the layout first and the finishers follow. Instead of measuring, guessing and cutting after the fact, you fix the frame between the joists, run your cable, and the opening is ready when it is time to install the
thin LED recessed luminaire.
The fixture it servesThis frame is part of the LUMIFARO ultra-slim recessed family built around the
FLP6-13W-3CCT-WH-2H downlight. That luminaire is
2-hour fire-rated, tested to UL-263, ASTM E119 and CAN/ULC S101, and covered by a 3 years warranty. It is
IC rated and airtight, approved for damp locations, and holds up in operating temperatures from -25° to +45° — useful in Canadian ceilings that touch cold attic space. Light quality is handled by a
CRI greater than 80 and a wide 120° beam angle, which spreads light evenly instead of leaving scallops on the wall.

Wiring and dimmingInstallation is straightforward: the cable goes to the fixture through
quick connect push-in terminals, black wire, white wire and green wire to the power supply. Always shut off the electrical current before connecting an LED device, otherwise the driver will be affected. These
ultra-slim LED ceiling lights are
dimmable and work with most dimmers; since dimmers are generally rated for a maximum of 150 watts on LED loads, do not exceed 80% of that capacity to avoid flicker at the low end of the dial — for example, a maximum of 8 6-inch units (120 watts total) or 13 4-inch units (117 watts total) per dimmer.
Where it works and what goes with itThink new construction and gut renovations: condo ceilings, kitchens and hallways, bedrooms, basements, retail floors, waiting rooms, clinics and small offices where a
fire rated recessed downlight grid must be square and consistent. When fixtures sit far from the junction point, add the 6 ft extension
Accessories FLP-EX6-CCT to reach the power supply without splicing in the ceiling. Full details, dimensions and the installation diagram are in the
PF378 Spec Sheet available in the Documentation tab — worth printing for the job site before you frame your ceiling.
