Built small on purpose
The whole point of the RGBWIRECTRL is to disappear into the installation. Measuring just over 1 cm wide, it's the most compact RGB controller in the LED MONTREAL range, which means it can be tucked inside an aluminum profile, slipped behind a cabinet valance, run along a stair stringer or hidden in the frame of a vehicle without anyone noticing it's there. There's no receiver box to mount, no antenna to position and no remote to keep track of — just a slim in-line body with three buttons that stays exactly where you put it.
Colours and modes you control by hand
Three buttons cover the full job. The controller gives you 20 static colours, so you can lock in a single tone and leave it there for months — perfect for branded colours in a retail display or a consistent accent in a home theatre. When you'd rather have movement, it also carries 20 automatic colour-changing modes, cycling and fading through the palette on its own. The middle button is the speed control: in automatic mode it lets you slow the transitions down to a calm, gradual drift or speed them up for something lively. That's real, hands-on control of your RGB LED strip lighting without pulling out a phone.
Wiring and installation
This is a wired, in-line device for RGB LED strips. It installs between the power supply and the strip: power in on one side, the RGB output to the strip on the other, respecting the polarity and the red/green/blue channel order marked on your strip. Keep the button head somewhere reachable — the edge of a cabinet, the underside of a counter, inside a service hatch — so the end user can press it comfortably. On longer runs, plan your feed points so voltage drop doesn't dull the far end of the tape, and always match the strip's voltage with the correct power supply before energizing the system. As with any low-voltage lighting, connections should be clean, secure and protected from pinching inside profiles or vehicle panels.
Where it earns its keep
Homeowners use it for under-cabinet accents, toe-kick lighting, basement bars, bedroom coves and gaming setups. Contractors like it for rental units and commercial builds where a remote would vanish within a week. It's a favourite for mobile applications too — motorcycles, trailers, boats, food trucks and custom vehicle interiors — precisely because the supplier designed it for installations where no remote is required and where space is limited. Retailers use it in display cases and window displays; restaurants and lounges use it along bar fronts and banquette bases. Residential or commercial, the logic is the same: fewer parts, fewer failure points, faster service calls.
