One controller, five kinds of LED strip
The ML5 is a true 5-in-1 LED controller: single colour, CCT tunable white, RGB, RGBW and RGBCCT. That flexibility matters on a job site — the same part number covers the warm-white cove in the living room, the colour-changing accent behind the TV and the tunable-white strip over the vanity. The output connection is common anode, the wiring standard used by most 12V and 24V LED tape, which keeps connections simple: one shared positive and one wire per channel. With 18 built-in colour-changing modes on board, you can run scenes even before you open an app.
Smart home without a gateway
This is the part installers appreciate most: Matter over Wi-Fi and HomeKit support are native, with Alexa and Google Home also compatible, and no gateway or bridge is required. Control from a mobile app such as Tuya, from voice assistants, or from a 2.4 GHz RF remote (sold separately) with a 30 m control distance when the phone is not in hand. The "Do Not Disturb" mode is enabled by default, so after a power outage the strip does not snap back to 100 % brightness in the middle of the night — a small detail that saves a lot of complaints in bedrooms, hotels and Airbnb units.

Installation, wiring and zones
Feed the controller from a DC power supply between 12 and 48 V, either hardwired or through a standard DC barrel connector, then connect your strip to the output. Respect the 6A per channel and the max 15A total (4A at 24V or 5A at 12V to comply with Class 2 requirements) — on longer runs, split the load and add a second controller rather than overloading one. That is where the 1 to 8 zones self-repeating feature shines: multiple ML5 units can be organized into zones and repeat the signal between them, so a long corridor, a staircase or a multi-room open plan reacts as one. At IP20, the ML5 is an indoor device: mount it in a dry, ventilated spot such as a cabinet, a valance or an accessible ceiling cavity, away from water, and keep it within the -10 to 40 °C working range. Its 124 mm x 38 mm x 23 mm body slips easily behind millwork.
Where it works and what is included in the docs
Typical projects: under-cabinet and toe-kick kitchen LED lighting, basement cove ceilings, home theatres, stair nosings, bar backs, restaurant banquettes, retail display cases, reception walls and office feature lighting. Because it handles everything from a simple dimmable white tape to a full RGBCCT run, it is an easy spec for renovation and commercial fit-out work alike. The complete technical spec sheet for the ML5 is available in the Documentation tab of this page — check it for voltage, current limits and dimensions before finalizing your power supply and strip selection.
