What the C1 actually does
The C1 is a handheld RF remote, not a dimmer in itself. It sends radio commands to receivers (controllers) wired between your power supply and your LED strip lights. That separation is what makes the system flexible: the remote stays in your pocket or on the coffee table, while the electrical work stays hidden in a cabinet, a valance or an electrical box. Because the link is radio and not infrared, you do not need line of sight — no pointing at the fixture, no standing in the doorway.
Zones, and how to plan them
Four zones mean four independently controlled groups of light. Every zone you plan to use needs at least one controller; unused zones simply stay idle, so a small job with one single-colour zone works exactly as well as a full four-zone installation. You can also pair several controllers to the same zone — handy when a long cove is split into two power supplies, or when the same on/off and dimming gesture should cover three separate cabinet runs. The one condition to respect during planning: all controllers assigned to a given zone must be the same type. Mixing a single colour receiver and a CCT adjustable white receiver on Zone 1 will not work — keep Zone 1 single colour and give the tunable white run its own zone.
Technical specifications

Voltage: 3V (2 x AAA batteries)
Transmission frequency: 2.4GH
Control distance: 30m
Single colour controller: FUT036

Compatibility and smart-home options
For a straight single colour run — one white tape, one colour tape — pair the remote with the FUT036 receiver. For tunable white tape, where you shift the colour temperature from warm to cool, use FUT035 or FUT035 (Original). If the client also wants app or voice control on top of the remote, the all-in-one controllers cover it: WL5 for WIFI, ML5 for Matter and Homekit ecosystems, and PZ5 for Zigbee plus WIFI. In those setups the C1 stays the fast, physical way to dim the lights when nobody wants to unlock a phone — a detail homeowners appreciate far more than they expect.
Where it earns its keep, and documentation
Contractors use this remote on kitchen renovations (under-cabinet, toe-kick and above-cabinet on separate zones), finished basements with cove and stair lighting, home theatres, walk-in closets and garage workbenches. On the commercial side it shows up in boutiques and jewellery cases, bakery and deli displays, salon mirrors, café counters and small office reception areas, where staff need to warm the light in the evening or dim a display without calling anyone. Since it runs on 2 x AAA batteries, it can be wall-mounted near the entry like a switch or carried from room to room. The technical PDF for the 4 Zone RF Remote Single Color or CCT Adjustable White (C1) is in the Documentation tab — keep it handy for the controller list when you are specifying receivers for each zone.
