Say goodbye to bulky trims and hello to a clean, modern ceiling: the 3.5" Luna Fixed is a compact LED recessed downlight — the kind of fixture people search for as a "pot light", "recessed light" or simply a smart replacement for a tired can light. Model RA35S-12F-35K-90BN is built for anyone renovating a kitchen, bathroom, hallway or basement recessed lighting project who wants a fixture that just works — no bulky housing to hide, no separate trim to buy, and no flicker when you dim it down for movie night.

This LUNA packs 12W of LED into a low-profile 3.5" housing, delivering crisp light at a 3500K colour temperature — a balanced white that isn't too warm or too cold, perfect for kitchens, offices and bathrooms alike. With a 90 CRI rating, colours stay true and natural, which matters when you're judging paint swatches, cooking, or applying makeup. It's fully dimmable for setting the right mood at any hour, rated IC (insulation contact) so it can be safely installed in direct contact with attic insulation, and carries a wet location rating, making it a solid choice for bathrooms, covered porches and other damp areas across Canadian homes. It's also ENERGY STAR certified, a mark of efficiency and quality that can matter for utility rebates. The brushed nickel finish gives the trim a subtle, upscale look that blends into almost any ceiling colour.

Whether you're finishing a basement, upgrading a hallway, retrofitting a kitchen, or spec'ing a whole floor for a small commercial space, the Luna Fixed 3.5" is an easy, reliable pick. Prefer a different tone or finish? The same fixture is also available in 30K brushed nickel, 35K black and 35K white to match your décor and other rooms in the same build. Order the RA35S-12F-35K-90BN today and give your ceiling a clean, contractor-approved finish.

Compact by design, the 3.5" Luna Fixed (SKU RA35S-12F-35K-90BN) is a one-piece LED recessed fixture: the LED module, driver and trim come together in a slim housing, eliminating the extra step (and extra cost) of buying a separate trim. This makes it a favourite among electricians and renovators looking for a fast, no-fuss install for recessed downlights, pot lights or trimless-style ceiling lighting where a tidy, minimal look is the goal.

Light quality that works for real rooms
At 3500K, the Luna Fixed sits in that sweet spot between the yellowish glow of older incandescent bulbs and the stark blue-white of many commercial fixtures — ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, hallways and living spaces where you want light that feels natural but still crisp. The 90 CRI rating means colours render accurately under this light, so fabrics, paint colours, food and skin tones all look true to life, not washed out or off-tone. Combined with smooth dimming compatibility, you get full control over ambiance, whether it's bright task lighting for cooking or a softer glow for evening relaxation.

Built for real-world installation conditions
This fixture is rated IC (Insulation Contact), meaning it can be installed directly against attic insulation without the fire risk or heat-buildup concerns of non-IC-rated fixtures — a must for many Canadian homes with insulated ceilings. It also carries a Wet Location rating, extending its use to bathrooms, sheltered exterior soffits, covered patios and other moisture-prone spots where a standard dry-location fixture wouldn't be permitted. The ENERGY STAR certification confirms it meets recognized efficiency and performance benchmarks, which can also help qualify for local utility rebate programs.

Where it fits in your project
This size and finish work well in kitchens over islands, in bathroom ceilings above showers, in mudrooms, hallways, and basements being converted into livable space. For contractors handling multi-unit or whole-house jobs, the Luna family offers matching options at different colour temperatures and finishes — including 30K in brushed nickel, 35K in black, and 35K in white — so you can standardize on one fixture body across an entire project while adjusting the finish room by room.
