A complete kit, nothing else to buy
Most colour-changing projects stall because the parts do not match: a strip that wants one voltage, a controller that wants another, a power supply nobody can find. This 1M RGB LED STRIP KIT removes that problem. In the box you get a 1 metre RGB LED strip, a wired RGB controller and a 12 V 2 A power supply designed to plug into a standard 110 V household outlet. Everything is pre-matched, so the only decision left is where you want the light.
Colour control that is actually simple
The wired controller is the heart of the kit. A press of a button steps you through 20 colours and 20 colour-changing modes, from a single static hue to fades and cycles. That means one RGB led strip can be a soft accent for a movie night, a bold brand colour for a store display, and a slow colour cycle for a party — without rewiring anything. Because the controller is wired, it stays put: no remote to lose behind the couch, no batteries to replace, which is exactly what you want in a rental unit, a workshop or a commercial counter where the setting rarely changes.

Installation and low-voltage wiring
Plan the run first: measure your shelf, cabinet or headboard, then position the strip where the diodes are hidden from direct view so you see the glow and not the dots. Clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry before sticking the strip down — dust and grease are the number one cause of tape lifting later on. Keep the 12 V power supply somewhere ventilated and accessible, plug the controller between the supply and the strip, and respect the polarity markings on the connector so the colours respond correctly. Since the whole kit works on low-voltage 12 V, it is friendly to work with around wood furniture, MDF shelving and display cases, and it is easy to hide the cable along a cabinet edge or behind a trim piece.
Where people use it, and what to pair it with
Think under-cabinet led strip lighting in a kitchen, a glow behind a bathroom mirror, accent light inside a bookcase or liquor cabinet, a stripe under a bar top, backlighting for a television or a gaming desk, and colour accents in retail: jewellery cases, shelving units, reception desks, café counters. In a Canadian basement renovation, one metre is often all you need to make a niche or a step stand out. If you prefer to change colours from your sofa or across a showroom, choose the version of this kit supplied with a wireless remote instead of the wired controller. There is no spec sheet in the Documentation tab for this kit; if you need help sizing a longer run or combining several accents, our team can walk you through it before you order.
