Built slim on purpose
The whole point of this fixture is what it doesn't take up. At 12mm of total thickness and a 120mm diameter, the Ultra-Thin 12VDC LED Recessed Luminaire slips into ceilings, cabinet tops, soffits and van roofs where a traditional recessed pot light housing simply cannot go. There's no bulky can hanging above the ceiling plane and no driver box to bury in insulation — the fixture is the whole assembly. That makes it a favourite for builds where every millimetre of headroom counts, and for renovations where you're working under an existing structure instead of tearing it open.
Light quality you actually want to live under
This version produces 500 lumens at 5000K, a clean Daylight tone that reads white rather than blue-grey. It's the colour temperature people reach for when they want visibility: prepping food, working at a bench, shaving in a small bathroom, or reading a map at a campsite. The 120-degree beam angle means the light spreads wide and overlaps nicely between fixtures, so you get even coverage instead of scalloped hot spots — a real advantage in narrow spaces like a van ceiling or a galley corridor where fixtures sit close together.

Wiring, power and dimming
Because it runs natively on 12VDC, this luminaire connects directly to a battery bank, a solar charge controller output or any regulated 12V circuit — no converter gymnastics, no flicker from a mismatched driver. In a house or a commercial fit-out, you simply feed it from a 12VDC transformer sized for the total wattage of your run, then wire the fixtures in parallel from that supply. Dimming is handled on the low-voltage side with a low-voltage LED dimmer, which gives you smooth control right down to a soft ambient level. As with any DC installation, watch your polarity at each connection and keep wire gauge generous on longer runs so every fixture on the circuit sees the same voltage and brightness.
Where it earns its keep, and what's on the page
Think cabins and chalets on solar, camper vans and skoolie conversions, travel trailers, boat cabins, tiny homes, mobile clinics and food trucks, plus shallow ceilings in regular homes — closets, entryway soffits, stairwell bulkheads and bathroom ceilings where the depth just isn't there. Contractors also use these under cabinet toe-kicks and inside display millwork for retail counters. Laid out in a grid with consistent spacing, they give a finished, built-in look that no surface-mounted puck can match.
