Built as a complete kit
The VIVO recessed fixture is designed so that a homeowner or an electrician can open one box and finish one hole. Inside you get the multidirectional recessed housing, its junction box and the PAR20 E26 LED bulb, already matched to the fixture. The head pivots, so a row of these can be aimed straight down for general ambient light or angled to graze a wall, light a countertop edge, or highlight shelving. The finish is brushed chrome, a warm-toned metal that pairs nicely with stainless appliances and chrome plumbing fixtures; a white finish also exists in this series for ceilings where you want the fixture to disappear.
Light quality you can live with
The included lamp produces 500 lumens at ± 3000K soft white, the warm, comfortable tone most people want in living spaces rather than the blue-white of a shop light. With 80 CRI+, colours stay honest — helpful when you are matching paint, choosing fabric, or simply want food on the counter to look appetizing. The lamp is dimmable, so the same fixture can do bright task light and low evening ambience; pair it with a dimmer that is compatible with LED lamps for the smoothest low-end performance.

Installation and compatibility
Before you drill, confirm two things: that you have at least 5 3/8" of clearance above the ceiling, and that your ceiling material measures between 1/4" and 3/4" thick. Then cut a 3 7/8" hole; the 4 1/2" trim covers the opening cleanly. Because the fixture is rated for direct contact with insulation, you do not need to pull batts or blown-in insulation away from the housing in an attic or a finished basement ceiling — a real time-saver and a better result for your thermal envelope. The E26 socket means the lamp is a standard medium-base PAR20, so the fixture stays serviceable for years to come. Wiring is done at the integrated junction box; if you are not comfortable working in a live ceiling, have a licensed electrician make the connections.
Where it works and what to read
Think kitchens and islands, hallways, stairwells, bedrooms, basements and home offices; on the commercial side, think retail displays, esthetics and hair salons, dental or medical waiting areas, cafés and small offices where a flush, discreet ceiling matters. A common Canadian scenario: a basement finished under joists with limited depth and insulation packed tight against the drywall — this fixture was made for exactly that. The technical PDF (VIVPR20 Spec Sheet) is available in the Documentation tab with the full dimension callouts and finish options, so you can plan your layout and cut list before a single hole is made.
