Built to hang straight and last
The housing is an aluminum frame that does double duty: it keeps a 7.5' (230cm) bar rigid so it hangs in a true straight line, and it pulls heat away from the LEDs, which is exactly what keeps output and colour stable over the years. The black finish hides against dark ceilings, exposed joists and painted ductwork, and looks deliberate against white drywall. At 50mm wide (58mm with the switches) and 82mm high, the profile stays slim — this is a suspended linear LED fixture that reads as a line of light, not as a piece of equipment bolted to the ceiling.
Light quality without the dots
A diffusing lens covers the full length and eliminates the dot effect you see on cheap LED strip lights, so you get one continuous, comfortable band of light instead of a row of bright points. The 120° lighting angle spreads that output wide, which means fewer fixtures to cover a room and fewer dark corners between them. CRI 80+ renders skin tones, packaging, paint and materials naturally — a real consideration in retail, salons, offices and anywhere people work with colour. The three selectable colour temperatures let you tune the room: 3000K for a warm residential feel, 4000K for a neutral office or commercial white, 5000K for a bright, crisp workshop or garage light.

Wiring, dimming and interconnection
The wattage and colour temperature selectors are integrated switches on the fixture itself, so everything is set before it goes up — no extra driver to order, no guessing at the counter. For dimming, pair it with a 0/10V dimmer; that gives smooth control down the line, which is ideal for boardrooms, restaurants and any space that needs full output during the day and a softer level at night. Up to 5 fixtures can be interconnected for a continuous run reaching 37.5 feet, perfect for aligning a row over an assembly bench, a corridor or a long open office. Installation must be done by a qualified electrician, and the fixture is rated for indoor use only, within an operating temperature range of 45C to -10C — so keep it out of unheated exterior spaces and wet locations.
Where it earns its keep, and what to read first
Think open-plan offices and coworking floors, retail and showroom ceilings, mechanic shops and home garages, storage rooms, gyms and studios, community halls, classrooms, and long kitchens where a single black bar over the island beats three mismatched pendants. Renovators replacing 8-foot fluorescent strips find this a natural swap: similar footprint, far better light, and the ability to dial the wattage down to 80W in rooms where 120W would be overkill. Because of its size, this is a counter-pickup item. The complete technical spec sheet (PDF) for the 8LEDBAR is available in the Documentation tab with all dimensions, lumen values and electrical details — bring it to your electrician before installation day.
