Built as a true halogen replacement
The LUMIFARO GU10 LED bulb keeps the familiar shape and the twist-lock base of the halogen spot it replaces, so nothing about your ceiling changes except the energy you burn. The bulb color is described as all glass, giving it that clean, classic spot look in open fixtures where the lamp is visible. Light comes from a single COB LED chip, which is why the beam is even and free of the multi-dot shadows you get from cheaper multi-chip lamps. Overall size is compact — 50 mm wide by 54 mm tall — so it drops into standard GU10 recessed trims and track heads without fuss.
Light quality and beam control
You get 500 lumens from just 7 watts, the equivalent of a 50W halogen, with a CRI of 80 for natural-looking skin tones, wood grain and merchandise colours. This SKU is the 4000K version: a neutral, cool-white tone that reads as clean and precise, ideal for task areas, while the same model family is also offered at 3000K for warmer living spaces. The optics produce a 38° beam angle, with an average beam angle of 39.0° measured at 50% intensity — tight enough to accent a backsplash, an island or a product display, wide enough to build a comfortable general wash when the spots are spaced across a ceiling. The spec sheet includes the luminous intensity distribution diagram and an illumination chart showing the lit area and average light level at different mounting distances.

Electrical, dimming and installation
Wiring is as simple as it gets: the lamp runs on standard 120 volts, so it works in the line-voltage GU10 housings and track systems already installed in most Canadian homes and stores. Cut the power, twist the old lamp a quarter turn out, push the new one in and twist to lock — no driver, no transformer, no ballast. These dimmable LED bulbs work with most dimmers, and dimmers generally carry a maximum 150-watt rating for LED bulbs; the manufacturer strongly recommends not exceeding 80% of that capacity to avoid flicker when the dimmer is at its lowest setting. Their own example: a maximum of 15 8-watt PAR20 bulbs, for a total of 120 watts on one dimmer. Keeping that margin is the easiest way to get smooth, silent dimming right down to a soft evening level.
Where it works and what comes with it
Think kitchen pot lights over an island, track heads aimed at artwork in a living room, display spots in a boutique or jewellery case, dining room accents in a restaurant, corridor downlights in a hotel, and task spots over a reception desk or a salon station — anywhere a GU10 socket is already in place, this bulb is a direct retrofit. Because it runs cool and sips power, it is also a smart pick for ceilings with a dozen or more spots, where the savings add up fast on a commercial bill.
