Built to be flexible, sealed to last
The heart of this kit is a flexible circuit board lined with 300 LEDs over a 5 metre length, coated in a self-adhesive silicone band. That silicone sleeve is what earns the strip its IP65 rating: dust-tight and protected against water jets, which means you can install it in a bathroom cove, a laundry room, a kitchen backsplash or under an exterior soffit without worrying about humidity. The strip bends around curves and corners, follows the edge of a counter, and sticks to clean, dry, smooth surfaces on its own. For long runs or heat-exposed areas, mounting it in an aluminum channel gives you a cleaner line and a more finished look.
Light quality you'll actually enjoy
These are 3528 SMD chips — small surface-mount LEDs spaced closely enough to produce a continuous ribbon of light rather than visible hot spots. At 400 lm/m, the output is ideal for accent and ambient work: enough to light a counter, a shelf or a stair nosing beautifully, soft enough that it never feels clinical. The kit is offered in three shades of white plus red, green and blue, so you can go warm and cozy in a bedroom or living room, or use colour to brand a display, a bar or a games room.

Wiring, dimming and installation
Because it runs on 12V low voltage, the strip is safe to handle and simple to wire — no line-voltage work required at the strip itself. Size your driver using the recommended 6W/m figure and multiply by the length you're actually installing; leaving headroom keeps brightness even from the first LED to the last. The kit can include a dimmer with a wireless remote, letting you set the exact intensity for the moment: bright for prep work on a kitchen counter, low for a movie night. Keep the connection end accessible, clean the surface with alcohol before sticking, and press the tape firmly along its whole length for a bond that holds through Canadian temperature swings.
Where it shines, and the documentation
Contractors use this led strip lighting under upper cabinets, inside closets and pantries, in toe-kicks, along stair risers and in ceiling coves; small businesses use it behind reception desks, under bar counters, inside retail display cases and to backlight signage; homeowners love it behind a TV or a headboard. It's equally at home in residential and commercial projects. The technical PDF for this model is available in the Documentation tab of this page, with the power, lumen and LED type values you'll need to plan your run and choose your power supply.
