Built for RGB, built for speed
This accessory is a two-ended jumper: a quick connect clip on each side, joined by a flexible RGB wire. You lift the clip, slide the cut end of the strip in so the copper pads line up with the contacts, close the clip, and the connection is made. No soldering iron, no flux, no burnt silicone, no waiting for joints to cool. Because both ends are quick connects, the same part works as a strip-to-strip extension between two sections that are already installed, which is what makes it so handy on a job that is half finished when you realize the run has to keep going.
Respect the colour channels
An RGB strip carries four conductors — the common and the three colour channels — and the order matters. When you clip the strip in, make sure the markings on the strip line up the same way on both ends of the jumper, otherwise red comes out as green and blue as red when you hit the remote. Always cut the strip on the designated cut line between the copper pads, keep the pads clean and dry, and press the clip fully closed so both contact rows bite. Done right, the joint is as stable as the rest of the run and can be opened again later if you ever need to reconfigure the layout.

Choosing the right length
The 17 cm version is the everyday workhorse: turning a corner in a cove, jumping the gap between two upper cabinets, or getting from one side of a bulkhead to the other. The 40 cm, 1 m and 2 m versions are the ones you reach for on bigger detours — going around a range hood, skipping a window, crossing from one counter section to another, or dropping down from a ceiling cove to a shelf. And when none of those fit, the trick is simple: take the 17 cm jumper, cut the wire in the middle and splice in as much RGB wire as you need. You keep the two clips, you get a fully custom length, and the ends of your strip stay untouched.
Where it earns its keep
Think kitchen under cabinet lighting that has to wrap around a hood and a window, a home theatre where the strip follows the ceiling perimeter, a retail display with colour-changing shelves, a bar front, a games room or a basement stair. In every one of those, the failure point is almost never the strip itself — it is the joint. A clean solderless connection means no cold joints, no stressed copper pads and no cracked strip from over-bending. Keep in mind it is an indoor accessory, so it is not intended for outdoor or wet locations, and it is dedicated to 5050 RGB strips — not to single-colour or other strip formats. Order a couple of spares with your strip: on site, having an extra jumper in the toolbox is what keeps an RGB install moving.
