What it is and what it solves
The PL-AMP-MULTI-VPLUS is a multi-cutout adapter plate for TUROLIGHT LED recessed fixtures. Ceiling openings on real job sites are rarely perfect: an old housing leaves a wide hole, a hole saw wanders, a previous trade cut oversized, or a tenant fit-up changes the fixture family entirely. Instead of patching drywall and repainting, the installer places the plate over the existing opening and mounts the new downlight through it. The result is a stable mechanical interface between the ceiling and the fixture, a flush and level trim, and a finished look that holds up in an open-concept living room as well as in a professional office ceiling.
Compatibility
This single part number is confirmed compatible with the TUROLIGHT EDA-ECL, RGD-ECL, RGD-SP3, PRO-SP6, SEL-SP/FR, RGD-CHY2, RGD-JH, RGD-CDR, RGD-SP2, PRO-SP5 and RGD-SMT series. The fixtures it serves — RGD-ECL example
The RGD-ECL LED regressed gimbal downlight is offered in 3.5" and 4", 12W (900 lm) and 17W (1,250 lm), CRI 90, air tight, with adjustable tilt and a 38° beam angle. The housing is die cast aluminum for better thermal management, Type IC rated with FT6 cable, wet location rated with an operating temperature range of -40 ˚C to +40 ˚C — useful under Canadian soffits and in bathrooms. Mounting is recessed with spring clamps, the 120V driver shares the same -40 ˚C to +40 ˚C range, and control is by TRIAC/ELV dimmer with 100-10% dimming. Field selectable CCT lets one fixture cover 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K and 5000K, and trims come in brushed nickel, black and white, backed by a 5 year warranty and 50,000 hour rated life.
