Built to disappear into the fixtureThe VIVID G9 capsule was designed around one idea: the bulb should never be the ugly part of a beautiful light. With a maximum overall diameter of 0.77 inch and a maximum overall length of 2.16 inch, this
G9 LED capsule keeps the slim profile that decorative fixtures were drawn for — no oversized heat sink poking out of a glass shade, no awkward gap in a chandelier arm. It slides into any standard
G9 bi-pin socket by hand, no tools, no rewiring, so swapping a full chandelier takes minutes.
Light quality that flattersAt
3000K warm white with a
CRI of 80 or better, this lamp gives you the warm, welcoming glow people expect from a decorative fixture, without the yellow-green cast of cheap LEDs. The
330° beam angle matters more than most buyers realize: light leaves the capsule in nearly every direction, so open chandeliers, crystal fixtures and frosted globes fill evenly instead of showing a hot spot at the bottom. At
450 lumens from
4 watts, it matches the output of a
45W halogen while running dramatically cooler — a real benefit in summer and in tight decorative housings where halogen heat used to cook sockets and shades.

Installation, dimming and compatibilityCut power at the breaker, let the old halogen cool, pull the capsule straight out of its socket and push the new one in — the two pins only go in one way. Because the lamp is
dimmable, pair it with a
LED-compatible dimmer and test the full range before you finish the job; on multi-bulb chandeliers, load all the sockets with the same model for consistent colour and smooth low-end behaviour. Two things to respect: this SKU is
not rated for enclosed fixtures, so keep it in open or vented housings, and it is a
120V lamp — a G9 socket fed at low voltage is not the right home for it. Its
damp location approval does cover bathroom vanities and covered porches.
Where it earns its keep, and what to readThink dining room chandeliers, vanity bars over a bathroom mirror, small pendants over a kitchen island, picture and wall sconces in a hallway, display lighting in a boutique, and decorative fixtures in restaurant dining rooms, salons and hotel corridors where a burned-out capsule is a service call nobody wants. Within the same VIVID family you can mix tones and bases: the
Vivid G9 4W 2700K for a cosier, candle-like room, the
LED bulb G4 2.5W 4000K for 12V task and display fixtures, or the
VASO MR11 3W 3000K GU4 glass housing for tight accent spots. Full details, the dimensional drawing and the complete ordering table are in the
technical spec sheet available in the Documentation tab.
