The FIT cylinder pendant keeps its construction honest: an aluminum cylinder body for the light housing and an iron ceiling base that anchors the fixture solidly to the outlet box. The sand black finish is a low-sheen texture that stays discreet at eye level and doesn't bounce glare back at you the way a polished chrome tube would. There are no drivers, no boards and no integrated LED module to age out — the light source is a replaceable lamp, so the fixture itself stays in service long after you've changed bulbs a few times.

Light quality is yours to choose
Because the lamp is not included, you decide the character of the light. A wide-beam GU10 gives soft general fill over a table; a narrow-beam GU10 carves out a tight pool on a counter or a piece of art. The recommended bulb shape is MR16 with a GU10 base, and the fixture accepts up to 50W maximum per bulb. Dimming behaviour depends entirely on the lamp you install and the dimmer on the circuit, so match a dimmable GU10 lamp with a compatible LED dimmer if you want to soften the room at night. Light is directed down only, which is what keeps counters bright and ceilings calm.

Installation and electrical
Wiring is straightforward 120V line voltage work: the iron canopy mounts to a standard ceiling outlet box, the supply conductors land in the canopy, and the cylinder hangs below. Plan your drop height before you cut power back on — over an island, most people like the bottom of the pendant clear of sightlines across the counter; over a table, a little lower. For multiples, snap a chalk line and space them evenly so the cylinders read as a deliberate row. Since the fixture is damp location rated and intended for indoor use, it's fine near a kitchen or a covered interior space with some humidity, but it is not meant for open, exposed exterior mounting. As always, have the connection made by a qualified electrician where your local code requires it.
