Installation and compatibility
Installation is the familiar GU10 twist-and-lock: push the two pins into the socket, rotate a quarter turn, done — no driver, no transformer, since the lamp runs directly on 120V line voltage. That makes it the straight swap for halogen MR16 GU10 lamps in recessed pot lights, track heads, monopoints, gimbal trims, cabinet and display lighting. For dimming, pair it with a dimmer rated for LED loads and respect the dimmer's minimum and maximum load; if you are replacing a leading-edge halogen dimmer, an LED-compatible model will give you the smoothest low end. Note the base difference before ordering: this lamp is GU10 at 120V, while low-voltage 12V systems need the GU5.3 version, the VASO MR16 X25 6.5W GU5.3, which is also rated for enclosed fixtures.
