RANGE HOOD - 24231 - UNDER-CABINET BABY-PRO I 30" - 390 CFM - STAINLESS STEEL

SKU: 24231

Brand: LUMIFARO

Replacing a tired old kitchen fan or finishing a kitchen renovation on a sensible budget of time and effort? The LUMIFARO Baby-Pro I 24231 is a 30" under-cabinet range hood, the classic kitchen range hood that mounts directly beneath the upper cabinet above your stove. Also searched as an under cabinet hood fan or stove hood vent, it captures smoke, steam, grease and cooking odours right where they rise, keeping your kitchen fresher and your cabinets cleaner. It is a favourite for homeowners, landlords and contractors across Canada.

This stainless steel range hood delivers 390 CFM of airflow with simple 3-speed controls. On low speed it runs at a quiet 0.7 sones, perfect for simmering while you chat, and on high it reaches 9.0 sones to clear smoke from a hot pan. Two GU10 LED bulbs are included to light the cooktop, and the 5-layer aluminum grease filters are included as well. The flexible rear or top rectangular vent makes it easier to adapt to the ductwork already in place, whether the duct runs up through the cabinet or straight out through the wall behind the stove.

The Baby-Pro I shines in family kitchens, condos, rental units, cottages and basement apartments where a standard 30" range sits under an upper cabinet. It is warranted for residential use: 1 year on parts and labour, then 2 years on parts only. Have it installed by a qualified installer, connect it to the outside vent and enjoy a brighter, fresher kitchen with the LUMIFARO 24231 under-cabinet hood.

The classic under-cabinet hood, done right
The LUMIFARO Baby-Pro I 24231 is an under-cabinet range hood designed to be fastened directly under the upper cabinet above a 30" range. This is the most common type of kitchen hood fan in Canadian homes, and a straightforward upgrade when an old hood has become noisy, weak or yellowed. The stainless steel finish gives the kitchen a clean, modern look and matches most appliances.

Airflow and noise level
The blower moves 390 CFM, well suited to everyday family cooking. The 3-speed controls let you pick the right level: low speed at 0.7 sones for simmering and quiet evenings, high speed at 9.0 sones when you sear, fry or boil pasta and need to clear steam quickly. Good ventilation also protects cabinets, walls and ceilings from grease buildup and keeps cooking odours from travelling through the house.

Rear or top venting
One of the most practical features of this hood is its rear or top rectangular vent. If your existing duct goes up through the cabinet, use the top outlet; if it goes straight through the exterior wall behind the stove, use the rear outlet. This flexibility often simplifies a replacement job and limits changes to the existing ductwork.

Filters and LED lighting
The included 5-layer aluminum range hood filters trap grease before it reaches the duct and are easy to remove for regular cleaning. Two GU10 LED bulbs are included; they light the whole cooking surface and use far less energy than old halogen bulbs, a small but welcome saving over the years.

Installation tips
Connect and test the hood before final installation. Remove the protective adhesive strip on the exhaust flaps, never install the duct so tightly that the flaps cannot open, and use duct tape rather than screws on the hood outlet. To check the flaps, run the hood for 30 seconds, turn it off, and after 2 or 3 seconds you should hear them close one after the other. Installation by a qualified installer is recommended; problems caused by improper installation are not covered by the warranty (residential use: 1 year parts and labour, then 2 years parts only). The spec sheet is available in the Documentation tab.
