Known on job sites as an inground LED strip channel, a drive-on aluminum extrusion or simply a recessed LED profile, this 2 m (6.56') extruded housing lets you sink a run of LED flexible strip right into the ground and still get a clean, continuous line of light. It is the piece contractors reach for on pathways, pool surrounds, driveway edges, garden borders, stair landings and architectural outdoor features where a surface-mounted profile simply would not survive.

The LL22 is made of anodized aluminum with reinforced walls that stand up to soil pressure, gravel infill and foot traffic, and its recessed installation design drops into a routed or formed opening of W27 x H26 mm (W11/16 x H11/32"), while the profile itself measures W26 x H26 mm (W1 1/32 x H1 1/32"). Built for the ground, not just the wall
Most LED aluminum channels are designed to sit on a ceiling or under a cabinet. The LL22 is a different animal: it is a heavy duty ground, drive-on profile in anodized aluminum, with thick walls and a squared body that resists the compressive loads of backfill, pavers and traffic. The anodized finish adds a hard, uniform surface to the extrusion, and the square W26 x H26 mm section gives the channel the rigidity long runs need so the light line stays perfectly straight once the trench is closed. Prepare a trench or a routed recess to the stated router dimensions, set the channel level with the finished surface, then insert the flex strip into the profile before or after placement — whichever your site allows. Because the channel is built around production lead or solder connections rather than push-in clips, plan your feed points and make the joints before the profile goes in the ground. The LL22 end caps ship as a pair, one drilled for the power lead and one solid, so each run is closed off cleanly at both ends.
