Built for channels that bend
Most diffuser lenses are made for straight extruded aluminum profiles and crack or pop out the moment you ask them to follow a radius. The LL14 frosted lens is different: it is the lens specified for the LumenstarLED flexible aluminum channel, so it bends along with the profile and keeps full contact with the extrusion walls from one end to the other. That means no gaps where light leaks out, no sections that lift away from the LED aluminum channel, and a finished edge that looks intentional rather than improvised. In the family, this lens carries the product code LS-LL14 and is listed in a frosted lens style.
Light quality: no dots, just a line
A clear cover shows you every diode. A frosted lens scatters the emitted light as it passes through, blending the individual points into one continuous band. On a curve, this matters even more, because the eye follows the arc and any hotspot pattern becomes obvious. Cove details, stair nosings, handrails and rounded millwork all read better with a diffused surface, and your LED strip keeps its intended look whether you're standing close to the detail or across the room.

Installation and compatibility
The system is a surface mount assembly: fix the flexible aluminum profile for LED strip lighting to the substrate, lay your tape inside, then press the frosted lens into the channel opening. Work in the direction of the curve and seat the lens progressively rather than forcing a long section at once. The channel accepts Except, Indoor & Outdoor Flex strips, and if you are routing a pocket into wood or MDF, the W3/4 x H1/4” (W18 x H6mm) router dimensions from the spec sheet give you the groove to cut. Plan your runs so a single 2M lens covers each continuous segment wherever possible — fewer joints means fewer visible seams in the diffused line.
Applications and documentation
Think curved cove ceilings in a condo living room, a rounded kitchen island toe-kick, a wrapped bulkhead in a restaurant, display curves in a boutique, stair edge lighting in a custom home, or reception millwork in a clinic or office. Contractors, cabinetmakers and DIY renovators all end up needing the same thing: a diffuser that follows the shape their client drew. The technical PDF for the flexible aluminum channel is available in the Documentation tab with the dimensions, lens style and compatibility details — download it before cutting your millwork so the pocket, the channel and the lens all agree.
