A continuous line of light, not a row of dotsCOB stands for "chip on board": instead of spaced individual diodes, a very dense array of tiny chips —
512 LEDs per metre here — sits under a uniform phosphor coating. The result is the smooth, dot-free band of light designers love in cove ceilings and under cabinets. With a
120º beam angle, the output spreads evenly across the surface right in front of the tape, so even at a few centimetres from a wall or shelf you get a clean wash instead of scalloped shadows. The flexible circuit board is just
8 mm wide and
1.5 mm thick, which means this
COB LED strip slides into narrow reveals, slim aluminum channels and tight millwork gaps.
Light quality you can trustColour rendering sits at
CRI 90+, a level that matters as soon as colour accuracy counts: matching paint or stain, reading labels, prepping food, or making merchandise look like it does in daylight. This SKU is the
4000K neutral white version — a crisp, clean light that reads as modern and bright without going blue, ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, workshops, garages, offices and retail. The tape is
dimmable, so the same run can go from full task light to soft evening ambience with a compatible 24V dimming system.

Wiring and installationThis is a
24V DC product: it must be powered by a 24V DC driver sized for the load, with a little headroom for comfort. Calculate your consumption from the
11W per metre figure multiplied by the length you install. Respect the
5 m maximum run per feed; for longer installations, run separate feeds from the driver rather than chaining tape end to end, which protects brightness uniformity. Cut only on the marked points every
62.5 mm, and always cut with the power off. Clean and degrease the surface before pressing down the
3M double-sided tape — dusty melamine, raw MDF and rough concrete are the usual culprits behind tape that lets go. An aluminum extrusion with a diffuser is strongly recommended: it protects the strip, helps dissipate heat, hides the circuit board and softens the line even further. With an
IP22 rating, keep this tape in dry indoor locations, away from direct water contact.
Applications, family and documentationThink under-cabinet task lighting in a kitchen, a glow strip under a floating vanity, cove lighting around a living-room ceiling, lit shelving in a boutique, display cases in a jewellery shop, backlit reception desks, stair and hallway guidance light in a condo, or a cleanly lit bar in a restaurant.
