What this accessory is
The CANOLIGHT L shape connector is a corner coupler for high voltage 2835 SMD LED strip lights. Rather than bending the strip around an inside or outside corner — which stresses the flexible circuit board, can crack traces and creates a visible kink in the light line — you cut the strip at the manufacturer's cut mark and rejoin the two segments at a precise 90-degree angle. The result is a crisp corner, uniform light output on both legs of the run, and no soldered joint waiting to fail behind a piece of millwork.
No wire, no solder, no guesswork
This is a no-wire connector: there is no flying lead or jumper cable between the two halves, so nothing to tuck away, nothing to pinch under an aluminum channel cover and nothing extra to hide. Each end of the connector has contact ports that receive the strip directly. Align the copper pads of the 2835 SMD strip with the internal contacts, close the secure clip mechanism, and the snap-lock holds the strip mechanically as well as electrically. Because the fit is snug and low-resistance, you avoid the warm spots and flicker that come from a sloppy connection, and the joint stays reliable even where vibration or slight movement is part of the environment.

Installation tips from the field
Always cut the strip on the printed cut line so both copper pads are fully exposed and square; a cut between pads is the number one cause of a dead segment. Wipe the pads clean before inserting — dust and silicone residue are insulators. Insert the strip fully until it seats, then close the clip and give the strip a gentle pull to confirm the lock has engaged. Respect the polarity and orientation markings on the strip so both segments run in the same electrical direction, and respect the maximum run length of your strip system so the corner does not become the point where voltage drop shows up. As always with high voltage strip lighting, disconnect power before working and have the final connection to the supply made by a qualified electrician, following the Canadian Electrical Code and your local authority.
