What a power repeater actually doesAn amplifier does not create the dimming signal — it copies it. The PWM signal from your controller enters the repeater, which then switches its own fresh DC power, drawn from a second power supply, in perfect step with that signal. The result: the extra length of
LED strip lighting downstream dims, colour-mixes and turns on and off in exact sync with the first section, at full brightness. Because the unit is a constant voltage device with PWM signal input, it works with single colour, dual colour, RGB and RGBW tape — four channels means R, G, B and W, or four separate single-colour zones, all following the same command.

Wiring and installationThe terminal block is clearly laid out: power input + and -, PWM signal inputs for CH1/R, CH2/G, CH3/B and CH4/W, LED output + and the four matching LED outputs. The spec sheet shows both a
parallel connection diagram and a
series connection diagram, so you can feed several repeaters from one controller or chain them one after another for unlimited expansion length. Each repeater needs its own 12-36VDC constant voltage power supply fed from AC100-240V, and that supply must match the working voltage of your tape. Mount the unit on its installation rack in a ventilated spot — good heat dissipation prolongs the life of the controller — and keep it indoors and dry, since the IP20 rating means it is non-waterproof and must be kept away from sun and rain. Installation and service should be done by a qualified person, and every polarity checked before power is applied.
Troubleshooting made simpleThe included troubleshooting table is a real time-saver on site. No light usually means no power or a loose connection. Wrong colours point to R/G/B/W wires crossed at the terminal. Uneven intensity between the front and the rear of a run — the classic voltage drop symptom — comes from output cable that is too long, wire diameter that is too small, overload beyond the power supply capability, or overload beyond the controller capability; the recommended fix for that last case is exactly this: add a power repeater. And if the unit ever overheats or short circuits, its LED indicator blinks to tell you.
Applications, compatibility and documentsThink perimeter cove lighting around an open-concept main floor, a long run of under-cabinet tape in a commercial kitchen, backlit millwork in a boutique, garage and workshop strips, or accent lighting that follows a staircase up several storeys. Anywhere the tape run is long enough to need a second driver, this repeater keeps everything matched. It sits downstream of your control gear, including the
4 zone W24 wall controller - RGB/RGBW for colour projects and the
4 zone W21 wall controller - white for single-colour and tunable white runs, and it pairs naturally with low-voltage accessories used on the same systems such as the
Sensor - Blue Touch - 12/24V - 3A and the
Door opening detector 12V-24V. The full technical PDF, with wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings, is in the Documentation tab.
