Looking for a recessed downlight that just disappears into the ceiling while pumping out clean, high-CRI light? The LITELINE 3.5" LUNA Fixed LED recessed fixture (SKU RA35S-12F-40K-90BN) is exactly that: a compact 3.5" pot light / luminaire encastré style unit built for homeowners and contractors who want a fixed-position downlight that handles kitchens, bathrooms, hallways, closets and basements without fuss. It's the kind of fixture people search for as a "recessed led" solution when they want something that looks sharp, installs cleanly, and just works — including in tricky spots near a vapor barrier ceiling assembly.

Under the hood, this LUNA delivers 12W of power for 865 lumens of output, in a crisp 4000K (40K) neutral-white colour temperature with a 90 CRI rating — meaning colours, skin tones and finishes stay true and vivid rather than washed out. It's fully dimmable, so you can dial the mood from bright task lighting down to a soft glow. Rated IC (insulation contact) for safe direct contact with attic insulation, and rated for wet locations, it's equally at home in a covered porch soffit, a shower ceiling or a basement rec room. It also carries ENERGY STAR certification, so you get efficient, long-lasting LED performance without the standby of a halogen can light. The brushed nickel (BN) trim gives it a clean, modern finish that blends into almost any décor.

This fixture is a great fit for renovation projects across Canada — from a Toronto condo kitchen remodel to a Montréal basement finishing job — anywhere you need a reliable, code-friendly recessed light. Since it's part of the LUNA family, you can also browse the same fixture in other colour temperatures and finishes, such as the 3.5" Luna Fixed 12W 30K 90CRI BN, the 3.5" Luna Fixed 12W 35K 90CRI BN, or the 3.5" Luna LED square recessed fixture 27K BK for a matte black look. Ready to upgrade your ceiling? Add the RA35S-12F-40K-90BN to your project today.

The LITELINE LUNA 3.5" fixed recessed downlight (SKU RA35S-12F-40K-90BN) is designed as a low-profile, all-in-one LED fixture: the light engine, driver and trim are integrated into a single compact housing, so there's no separate housing/trim/bulb combo to source or match. This simplifies installation for electricians and contractors, and it means the fixture is ready to perform right out of the box in new construction or retrofit ceilings alike.

Light quality that stays true
With a 90 CRI rating at 4000K, this LUNA renders colours accurately — a must in kitchens where you're matching countertops and cabinetry, in bathrooms where skin tones matter, or in any space where you want light that looks natural rather than harsh or blue. At 865 lumens from just 12W, it delivers strong output for its size while keeping energy draw low, a welcome change from older halogen recessed cans that ran hot and wasted power. The fixture is fully dimmable, giving installers the flexibility to pair it with a compatible dimmer switch for scene-setting in living rooms, dining areas or bedrooms.

Built for real ceiling conditions
This LUNA is rated IC (Insulation Contact), so it can be installed directly against attic insulation without special clearance boxes — a big time-saver on insulated ceiling assemblies and a common requirement in Canadian construction where energy codes call for continuous insulation and vapor barrier detailing around penetrations. It's also rated for wet locations, extending its use to covered exterior soffits, bathroom shower ceilings and other damp environments where a standard dry-location fixture wouldn't be appropriate. The ENERGY STAR certification confirms it meets recognized efficiency and quality benchmarks, which can also support rebate eligibility on residential and commercial retrofit projects.
