Built to live outsideThe PICO spotlight is designed for permanent outdoor installation, with a sealed, weather-resistant housing and a gasketed lens that keep moisture, dust and debris away from the electronics. Its
IP65 protection rating means rain, garden hoses and irrigation spray are a non-issue, and the stated operating range of -25ºC to +60ºC covers the reality of a Canadian year, from a January cold snap to a heat wave in July. The body handles thermal management through its structure so the LED runs cool — that is what protects both light output and colour consistency season after season. An
aluminum spike is included, so most installs are as simple as choosing the spot, pressing it into the soil or mulch, and aiming.
Light quality and beam controlAt 900 lumens from 9 watts, this
LED garden spotlight produces a clean, focused beam rather than a vague glow. The 40º projection angle is the sweet spot for uplighting: wide enough to wrap a tree trunk or a section of wall, tight enough to keep the light where you aimed it. The 3000K warm white of this SKU renders wood grain, cedar, brick and foliage naturally instead of washing them out, and the adjustable head lets you fine-tune the aim after the plants grow in. The fixture is
dimmable with compatible controls when you want a softer evening scene on the patio.

Wiring, compatibility and installationBecause it runs on
low voltage, this spotlight pairs with a landscape transformer or driver and standard direct-burial cable — no line-voltage trenching through the yard. Multiple fixtures can be linked on the same run, which makes it easy to build a complete scheme around a property and add more heads later; size your supply to the total wattage of the run, for example with the
Luvia 100W outdoor power supply. Plan the layout before digging: set fixtures back from the base of a tree or wall for a softer wash, keep connections above grade or inside a waterproof connector, and always cut power at the transformer before wiring. Any line-voltage connection should be handled by a licensed electrician.
Where it works and what pairs with itUse it to uplight maples and spruces, graze a stone or brick façade, light a pergola post, a flagpole, a commercial
outdoor sign or a restaurant entrance. Contractors often combine uplights with lower path fixtures for layered depth: the
Scoop landscape light for walkways and steps, or the
Luna LED outdoor light for accent points, all on the same low-voltage system. A smaller
3W PICO spotlight is available for shrubs and tighter accents. The full technical PDF spec sheet for this model is in the Documentation tab — check dimensions and voltage there before finalizing your layout.
