What this part actually is
Every good linear LED installation is really three pieces: the strip, the channel and the lens. This is the third piece — the frosted diffuser for the LS-LL11 low surface profile, supplied in a 2M (6.56') length. The channel is the structure and the heat path; the lens is the face your client sees. Frosted material spreads the output of the diodes before it leaves the fixture, so instead of a dotted line you get a soft, continuous band. It also protects the tape from dust, fingerprints and the occasional bump, which matters more than people expect under cabinets and along stair nosings.

Fit and compatibility
This lens belongs to the LL11-15-16 aluminum channel family and is not a universal cover — width and snap geometry are matched to that extrusion, which measures W30 x H7mm (W1 3/16 x H9/32"). The profile accepts LED strips that fit inside those dimensions, with the exception of Indoor & MP Flex strips, and works with 3528 solderless connectors for clean, tool-light terminations. If you are building a longer run, order multiple 2M sections plus the matching channel and end caps so the joints land where they are least visible — ideally over a cabinet seam, a corner or a structural break.
Installation notes from the field
The lens press-fits into the top of the channel: start at one end, walk it in with steady thumb pressure and it seats along the full length. No glue, no screws, no clips to lose. For a shorter segment, cut the lens with a fine-tooth blade and de-burr the edge so it slides in without catching — and cut the lens and the aluminum extrusion together to the same length so the end caps close flush. Because the lens comes back out without damage, relamping or swapping a tape years from now is a five-minute job instead of a demolition. Mount the channel first, run and connect the strip, test it, then close the lens last: it is the easiest way to avoid trapping dust or a twisted tape under the diffuser.
Where it earns its keep, and documentation
Think of every place where people see the light source before they see the light: under upper cabinets in a kitchen, along floating shelves, inside a display case, around a bathroom mirror, under a bar rail, on stair stringers, behind a reception counter or down a hotel corridor. In all of those, a clear cover shows dots and a frosted one shows a line — and that difference is what makes a job look designed. Homeowners get a warm, even glow with no hot spots; contractors get a repeatable detail they can install the same way on every project; small businesses get a display that flatters merchandise instead of distracting from it. The technical PDF for the low surface LED aluminum profile (LS-LL11) is available in the Documentation tab of this page for dimensions and compatibility details before you specify.
