A diffuser built for one job: erasing the dots
A bare LED strip is a row of bright points. Put the opaque lens over it and those points blend into a single luminous line. That is the whole purpose of this frosted cover for the LS-LL11 LED aluminum channel: it spreads the light across its full surface so the eye reads one continuous band instead of a chain of chips. The result is calmer, more comfortable light — the kind you want at eye level, under a cabinet or in a cove where people look straight at the fixture. It also hides the strip itself, the copper pads and the small imperfections of a hand-cut run, which is why professionals rarely finish a profile with anything else.
Fits the LS-LL11 low surface profile
This lens is made specifically for the LL11-15-16 series, the LOW SURFACE LED aluminum profile from LumenstarLED. That extrusion is a surface mount profile in anodized aluminum with outside dimensions of W30 x H7mm (W1 3/16 x H9/32") — wide and very low, ideal when you want a discreet line that does not stand off the surface. The profile is offered in 1M (40") and 2M (80") lengths; this lens is the 2M (6.56') version, SKU LS-LL11-15-16-OP-L2. Because it is the matching lens style for that channel, there is no guessing about width or snap depth: it seats in the channel and stays there.

Installation and handling
Work in order: mount the channel first, run and test your LED strip inside it, then install the lens last so nothing is trapped underneath. The cover goes on without screws or clips — press or slide it into the channel until it seats evenly. Need a shorter run? Mark your cut on the profile and on the lens, cut both with a fine-tooth blade or a sharp utility knife scored and snapped, then deburr the edge so the two pieces sit flush. For runs longer than 2M, butt sections end to end and keep the joints tight; a joint that lands under a cabinet edge or at a wall break disappears completely. Keep the strip centred in the channel so the diffusion stays even, and remember that the aluminum body doubles as a heat sink — it helps your strip hold its brightness over the years.
Real projects and documentation
Think kitchen under-cabinet task light, pantry and closet shelving, cove lighting in a living room ceiling, toe-kick and stair nosing accents, backlit mirrors and headboards, jewellery and bakery display cases, retail shelving, reception counters and bar fronts in restaurants. In Canadian renovations, the low W30 x H7mm section is handy under thin shelves and inside millwork where a taller profile would show. The technical PDF for the LOW SURFACE LED ALUMINUM PROFILE is available in the Documentation tab of this page — check it before ordering to confirm the length and strip compatibility for your run.
