Built for one fixture, on purposeGeneric emergency drivers are a gamble: the wrong charge profile, the wrong load, an enclosure that will not fit the housing. The
Canolight CL-ACC-UFO1-EMERGENCY DRIVER-40W removes that gamble. It is an accessory engineered in tandem with the CL-IND-UFO1-240W-3CCT-BL
UFO LED high bay luminaire, matched to that fixture's electrical and optical requirements so emergency operation is predictable. For contractors, that means one part number, one wiring method, and a commissioning step that takes minutes instead of an afternoon of troubleshooting.
How it works during an outageThe driver installs inside or alongside the high bay and ties into the building's electrical circuit, where it continuously monitors line power. When normal power is lost, it instantly switches over and draws from its internal battery to keep the luminaire producing light for safe egress. The
40W emergency output capacity is calibrated to sustain meaningful illumination in large-volume spaces — the kind of rooms where the floor is far below the fixture and a dim indicator lamp simply is not enough to guide people to an exit. When utility power returns, the unit resumes charging and returns to standby.

Maintenance, codes and facility lifeThe
battery backup system is built for durability and consistent performance over repeated charge and discharge cycles, which is exactly what an emergency device faces over years of service. Because the unit self-tests and remains ready for deployment without constant manual checks, facility teams spend less time on ladders verifying units one by one. That matters in buildings where emergency lighting inspections are routine and documented: industrial facilities, large retail operations, schools, municipal buildings and other public-access spaces subject to the
National Building Code of Canada and local fire safety regulations. Pair it with your egress plan so the high bays over the main aisles and exit paths carry the backup.
Compatibility, applications and documentationUse this driver with the
LED UFO high bay with adjustable power and 3CCT selection in warehouses and distribution centres, manufacturing floors, mechanical rooms, service garages, hockey arenas and gymnasiums, agricultural buildings and warehouse-style retail. A typical project: the aisles get standard UFO high bays, while every fixture along the exit route gets an emergency driver, so the path to the door stays lit without adding separate
remote head emergency lights to the ceiling grid. Full details are in the Documentation tab, where you will find the CL-ACC-UFO1-EMERGENCY DRIVER-40W spec sheet to hand to your electrician or engineer before you order.
