Built for one fixture, and it showsThe
CL-ACC-UFO1-WG150 from Canolight is a purpose-built
protective guard for the CL-IND-UFO1-150W-3CCT-BL UFO high bay. Aftermarket or "universal" cages are a gamble: the diameter is off by a hair, the mounting tabs don't line up, and you end up drilling, zip-tying or simply giving up. An OEM-matched accessory removes that guesswork. The guard is designed around the actual geometry of the 150W UFO housing and its mounting points, so it seats properly, stays centred and keeps a clean look overhead. Using the manufacturer's own accessory also keeps you on the right side of warranty compliance on the fixture it protects.
Why mesh instead of a solid coverAn
LED high bay lives or dies by thermal management. The driver and the LED boards need airflow across the heat sink to stay within their operating temperature — that's what keeps lumen output stable and the fixture working year after year. A solid lens cover or an improvised shield traps that heat right where you don't want it. The open
web guard mesh does the opposite: it blocks impact while letting convection do its job, so the fixture keeps running at peak efficiency with the guard installed. The open pattern also means the light distribution you specified is the light distribution you get on the floor — no heavy shadowing, no loss of coverage in the aisles.
Installation and maintenanceAttachment is designed to be quick and tool-friendly: no specialized tools are required, which matters when you're on a scissor lift with one hand free. The guard mounts securely enough to hold in high-vibration environments — presses and conveyors on a plant floor, overhead doors slamming in a distribution centre, ventilation equipment in an arena. For retrofits, you can add guards to fixtures already installed without touching the wiring; for new builds, it's easiest to mount the guard on the ground before the fixture goes up. Always cut power at the breaker before working overhead, and have the installation done by a qualified electrician where local code requires it.
Where it earns its keepThink of every ceiling where something can reach the light. Distribution centres and
warehouse lighting with high-rack forklift traffic. Manufacturing plants with overhead cranes and airborne debris. Municipal garages, bus barns and truck service bays. Gymnasiums, hockey arenas and community centres where a puck or a ball will eventually find the fixture. Barns, riding arenas and machine sheds. Car washes, workshops and recycling facilities where wash-down and flying material are routine. In each of these, a damaged high bay means a lift, a service call and downtime — a guard turns that into a non-event.
Compatibility and documentationThis guard is sold as an accessory and works exclusively with the
LED UFO high bay 100W/120W/150W 3CCT, AC120-347V — the 150W model in black. Order one per fixture when you plan your bay layout. A technical PDF spec sheet for the CL-ACC-UFO1-WG150 is available in the Documentation tab, and the high bay's own spec sheet covers wattage selection, colour temperature selection and mounting details for the fixture itself. Reviewing both before you order is the fastest way to confirm quantities and make sure every
UFO high bay in the building leaves the job site protected.
