Built for impact, not for looks aloneThe CL-ACC-UFO1-WG240 is a dedicated
wire web guard for the CANOLIGHT UFO high bay platform. Its open-wire mesh forms a cage across the face of the luminaire, absorbing and deflecting strikes before they reach the lens or the housing. That matters more than most people expect: a cracked lens on a high bay usually means the whole fixture comes down, and bringing a scissor lift into a working aisle costs far more in downtime than the guard itself. Think of it as insurance you install once and never think about again.
Light output stays where you put itProtection often comes at the price of performance, and that is exactly what this design avoids. A solid polycarbonate shield would trap heat against the driver and LED board and scatter or block part of the beam. The open-wire construction of this
UFO high bay guard lets the light pass through and lets convection do its job, so heat dissipation stays normal and your fixture keeps producing the lumen output it was specified for. No lighting redesign, no extra fixtures to compensate, no thermal derating.

Compatibility and installationThis guard is model-specific. It is engineered for the
LED UFO high bay CL-IND-UFO1-240W-3CCT-BL and should not be forced onto other housings or other diameters. Because it is OEM-matched, the fit and finish line up the first time — mounting points align with the housing, and one person on a lift can usually add it in a couple of minutes. On a new installation, the easiest sequence is to fit the guard at ground level before the fixture goes up; on a retrofit, it drops onto fixtures that are already hooked or chain-hung without disturbing the wiring or the mounting hardware. Order one guard per luminaire you want protected.
Where it earns its keepDistribution centres with narrow-aisle racking and tall forklift masts, manufacturing floors with overhead cranes and airborne chips, auto and truck service bays, recycling and transfer stations, arenas and school gymnasiums where a volleyball or a hockey puck eventually finds the ceiling, and parking garages with low clearance and high traffic — all of these are textbook cases for a
high bay wire guard. Facility managers running multiple Canadian sites often standardize on one guard per high bay simply to keep maintenance predictable from building to building.
