A mounting accessory built for one jobThe CL-ACC-UFO1-SM kit is not a universal bracket you bend into shape on site. It is a dedicated
surface mount kit designed around the mounting interface of the Canolight UFO1 high bay, so the hardware lines up with the points already built into the fixture. That matters on a real jobsite: no drilling into a heat sink, no improvised straps, no mismatched screws. The result is a mechanically sound, repeatable installation that looks the same on fixture number one and fixture number eighty.
Why surface mount instead of hangingPendant and hook suspension is the default for
UFO LED high bay fixtures, but it needs vertical clearance you don't always have. In buildings with low or mid-height ceilings, or where beams, HVAC ducts, sprinkler piping, overhead doors and crane rails eat into the space, a hanging fixture becomes a liability. Mounting the luminaire tight to the deck removes the drop entirely, keeps the light above the path of forklifts and scissor lifts, reduces sway and vibration, and gives the ceiling a clean, deliberate look. It also makes fixture aiming predictable, since every unit sits at exactly the same height and angle.
Compatibility and thermal designCompatibility is the heart of this product. The kit works with both wattage options in the UFO1 3CCT-BL series: the
power-adjustable 100W/120W/150W UFO high bay and the
power-adjustable 160W/200W/240W UFO high bay, both offered in 3CCT — three selectable colour temperatures of 3500K, 4000K and 5000K. Because one kit serves both wattages, a facility running smaller fixtures over aisles and larger ones over open production areas can standardize on a single accessory. The bracket also respects the fixture's convection design, so the fins keep breathing and the driver keeps running cool even when the luminaire sits close to the ceiling.

Applications, planning and documentationWarehouses and distribution centres, manufacturing and assembly floors, auto and truck repair shops, agricultural buildings, arenas and gyms, commercial storage and back-of-house areas across Canada all run into the same constraint: not enough height to hang. Specify one kit per luminaire at the quoting stage and your installers arrive with everything they need, which keeps time-sensitive industrial and commercial
high bay lighting projects on schedule instead of waiting on hardware. Always confirm the ceiling structure can carry the fixture weight, and have the wiring completed by a qualified electrician according to the Canadian Electrical Code and local requirements.
