DL-VTHO LOW VOLTAGE MICROWAVE SENSOR

DL-VTHO LOW VOLTAGE MICROWAVE SENSOR

SKU: DL-VTHO/LV15M/SENSOR

Brand: TUROLIGHT

Stop paying to light an empty aisle. The DL-VTHO LOW VOLTAGE MICROWAVE SENSOR from TUROLIGHT is a compact high bay motion sensor — also called a microwave sensor, radar occupancy sensor or motion detector for lights — built to ride along with your UFO LED high bay fixtures and switch or dim them the moment someone walks in. It reads movement through its patented antenna instead of body heat, so it keeps working in cold, dusty, high-ceiling spaces where a standard detector gives up. If you have been searching for a way to add occupancy control to LED high bay lights in a warehouse, a garage or a production floor, this is the small part that does the job.

This is a low voltage device: it runs on a 12Vdc±1V input, so it pairs with DC systems or LED drivers offering a 12Vdc±1V auxiliary output, and it drives the fixture through a 0-10V dimming port with 3-step or 2-step dimming. Standby power stays under 0.3W, wiring is a 3-core 22AWG cable, and the sensor operates at 5.8 GHz ±75 MHz in the ISM band with 1mW max transmitting power. You get a hold time from 5S up to 30min, standby dim levels of 10%, 20%, 30% or 50%, a selectable detection area of 25%, 50%, 75% or 100%, a daylight sensor with several lux thresholds and a daylight priority function. Mounting height reaches 15m max, detection angle is 150° wall mounted and 360° ceiling mounted, operating temperature runs -35℃ to +70℃, rating is IP20, Protection Class II, CE marked and RoHS compliant, with a 5 years warranty. Net weight: 55g.

Warehouses, distribution centres, parking garages, workshops, arenas, farm buildings and back-of-house storage rooms across Canada all share the same problem: big ceilings, long empty stretches and lights nobody remembers to turn off. This sensor mounts at the edge or the centre of a UFO high bay, either externally or integrated, and its two detection modes (high sensitivity, or interference immunity for spaces full of metal racking and reflective surfaces) let you tune it to the room. A patented remote control with adjustable transmitting angle lets you set hold time, dim level and lux threshold from the floor, and Dim+/Dim- fine-tunes the occupancy light level. Important: it is designed to control one load only. Order SKU DL-VTHO/LV15M/SENSOR and give your high bays a brain — check the Documentation tab for the full spec sheet before you wire.

Built for industrial ceilings
The DL-VTHO is a microwave occupancy sensor designed specifically for industrial luminaires. Its compact body can be fixed at the edge or at the centre of a UFO high bay, and it supports both external mounting and integrated mounting, so fixture builders and installers can choose the cleanest look for the job. At 55g net weight it adds almost nothing to the fixture, and it ships in a white paper box. The newly patented sensor antenna offers two detection modes: a high sensitivity mode for open floors, and an interference immunity mode made for installation environments with many metal reflective surfaces — exactly what you find above steel racking, conveyor lines and metal-clad walls.

How it detects and how it dims
The sensor works at an operating frequency of 5.8 GHz ±75 MHz in the ISM band with a transmitting power of 1mW max, which means it senses actual movement rather than heat signatures. Detecting angle is 150° when wall mounted and 360° when ceiling mounted, with a maximum mounting height of 15m — enough for most warehouses. Detection area can be dialled down to 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% to keep the sensor from picking up traffic in the next aisle. On the output side, the 0-10V dimming interface supports on/off operation (standby period set to 0s), 2-step dimming (standby period +∞) and 3-step dimming (standby period 10S/1min/3min/5min/10min/30min). Hold time choices are 5S, 30S, 1min, 3min, 5min, 10min, 20min and 30min, and standby dim levels are 10% (1.4-1.6V), 20% (1.9-2.1V), 30% (2.9-3.1V) or 50% (4.9-5.1V).

Daylight harvesting and remote setup
The built-in daylight sensor can be set to 5lux, 15Lux, 30Lux, 50Lux, 100lux, 150lux or disabled, with daylight priority thresholds and additional 100Lux/200Lux and 150Lux/300Lux options, so fixtures near skylights or loading doors stay off while the sun does the work. A patented remote control — with a transmitting angle adjustable according to mounting height — handles all programming from the floor, and Dim+/Dim- lets you set the occupancy light level precisely. Note that detection range depends on the speed and size of the moving object, mounting height and angle, the site itself and nearby reflectors; published data are typical values tested with a 165cm person in an open indoor area, and detection range is longer at wall mounting, so reduce sensitivity in that configuration.

Wiring, compatibility and documentation
Because this is a DC-powered microwave product, its performance is closely tied to the stability and characteristics of the LED driver's auxiliary power supply — read the 11th instruction in the spec sheet carefully before energizing. The sensor must be connected to one load only; wiring more than one load may damage it. It is an IP20, Class II indoor device, so keep it inside conditioned or dry areas of the building. Typical projects include distribution warehouses with long racking aisles, mechanical shops, indoor parking structures, arenas and agricultural buildings, where lights can drop to a low standby level instead of shutting off completely — safer for staff and easier on the eyes. The complete technical PDF (DL-VTHO/LV15M/SENSOR Spec Sheet) is available in the Documentation tab, with the dimension drawing, wiring diagram, detection pattern and the four function timing charts.
