CEILING FEED FOR TRACK - BLACK - V1

CEILING FEED FOR TRACK - BLACK - V1

SKU: TL-CAN-BK-V1

Brand: ARANI

Your ceiling already has an electrical box where the old light fixture used to be? This ARANI ceiling feed for track turns it into the power point of a modern track lighting system. Also called a track canopy, a canopy feed or a track power feed, it covers the ceiling outlet box, brings the supply to the track and gives the installation a clean, finished look. It is the simplest way to swap a single ceiling light for a flexible row of adjustable LED heads.

Made of black polycarbonate, the canopy measures 4-1/4 in × 4-1/4 in (108 mm × 108 mm), and its conductors are 12 AWG. It is part of an H-type track system designed for 120 V, with a maximum current of 20 A and 1,920 W, rated IP20 for dry locations and operating from -20 °C to 45 °C. The system is cETLus certified and backed by a 3-year warranty, and the black finish matches the black track and connectors. SKU: TL-CAN-BK-V1.

Install it over the box, then build the layout with the 4 ft black track and join lengths with the mini-joiner connector for track. It is perfect for a kitchen, a dining room, a condo living room, a boutique or a small restaurant where a single ceiling outlet has to light a whole area. Kitchen ceiling lights, dining room lights or gallery lighting: one box can now do it all. From Winnipeg to Moncton, it is a quick way to modernize a room without cutting new holes in the ceiling. Have a licensed electrician make the connection according to the Canadian Electrical Code, and add it to your cart with your track and heads.

What a ceiling feed does
The ceiling feed, listed by ARANI as a canopy, is the piece that connects the track system to the building wiring at a ceiling outlet box. It mounts over the box, hides the connection and brings power into the track, so H-type track heads can be installed and aimed along the connected run. It belongs to the ARANI black track lighting system with 4 ft and 8 ft lengths, an end feed, a mini-joiner, L and T connectors and end caps, all sharing the same black finish and H-type connection.

Construction and ratings
Its housing is black polycarbonate, and it measures 4-1/4 in × 4-1/4 in (108 mm × 108 mm), a compact square that finishes the ceiling neatly. It is the only part of the family specified with a 12 AWG conductor size. The track system is designed for 120 V, with a maximum current of 20 A and 1,920 W, is rated IP20 for dry indoor locations and operates from -20 °C to 45 °C. It carries cETLus certification and a 3-year warranty.

Installation tips
Turn off the power at the panel and remove the old fixture. Check that the ceiling box is securely fastened, then have the electrician connect the supply to the canopy's 12 AWG conductors, mount the canopy over the box and attach the track. Depending on where the supply is, the end feed for track is the other way to power a run. Add branches with the T connector for track, keep the total load of the heads within 1,920 W and 20 A, and follow the Canadian Electrical Code.

Where it makes sense
Most homes have a ceiling box above the kitchen table, the island or the centre of a room: the ceiling feed lets you replace that single fixture with a track that lights several zones at once. It is just as practical in condos, where new holes in a concrete ceiling are rarely an option, in boutiques that re-aim their lights with each new display, and in restaurants, studios and offices. For Canadian homes, where long winter evenings are spent indoors, turning one ceiling light into flexible track lighting makes a real difference. The spec sheet in the Documentation tab lists the dimensions of every part of the system.
