What the mini-joiner does
The mini-joiner, listed by ARANI as a linear coupler, connects two track lengths end to end in a perfectly straight line. Once installed, the two sections behave like one continuous run, so H-type track heads can be positioned anywhere along the full length. It is part of the ARANI black track lighting system, alongside 4 ft and 8 ft lengths, an end feed, a ceiling feed (canopy), L and T connectors and end caps, so every piece matches in colour and uses the same H-type connection.

Materials and dimensions
The housing is polycarbonate, like the other connectors of the system, finished in black to match the aluminum track. At 3-1/16 in (77.8 mm) by 3/4 in (19.1 mm), it stays compact and discreet, so the line of track reads as one clean element on the ceiling. The system is designed for 120 V, a maximum current of 20 A and 1,920 W, is rated IP20 for dry indoor locations and operates from -20 °C to 45 °C. It carries cETLus certification and a 3-year warranty.

Installation tips
Always work with the power off at the panel. Line up the two track ends on the ceiling, install the mini-joiner between them following the instructions, then fasten both lengths firmly so the joint stays straight and tight. Check that the heads install normally on each side of the joint before restoring power. Keep the total load of all heads within the system's 1,920 W and 20 A ratings, and have a licensed electrician handle the connection to the supply according to the Canadian Electrical Code.

Where it helps
Use it wherever a single length is too short: along a long kitchen or a dining room, across a boutique ceiling, down a gallery corridor or above the desks of an open-plan office. For more complex layouts, combine it with the L connector for track to turn a corner or the T connector for track to branch off in a new direction.
