Built for shallow ceilingsThe PRO-SP7 uses a special eco-designed body engineered for better thermal management, so the LEDs stay cool and hold their output over the long run. The back-lit slim profile is only 1.07" high, which makes it suitable for low-depth installation where a traditional housing simply will not fit — think 2x4 ceilings, furred-down bulkheads, condo slabs and retrofits over ductwork. The
metal trim ring gives the fixture a solid, finished feel at the ceiling line, and the quality PMMA white trim is guaranteed against yellowing under the 5 year warranty, so your ceiling still looks new years after the paint dries.
Light quality you can tuneA premium-grade opal diffuser spreads the light evenly and kills the glare you get from cheap open-aperture downlights, while the 120° beam angle washes walls and floors without dark gaps between fixtures. With
5 field selectable colour temperatures (27K, 30K, 35K, 40K and 50K) you set the white directly on site with the fixture's selector — no need to stock five versions of the same
LED panel light. CRI ≥ 80 keeps colours honest, which matters in kitchens, bathrooms, boutiques and anywhere clients judge finishes under the light.

Installation and electricalRecessed mounting is handled by
spring clamps: cut a 4.13" hole, connect the driver, fold the clips and push the panel up flush. The 120V LED driver shares the same -20 ˚C to +40 ˚C operating range as the fixture, and the FT4 cable is ready for the junction box. Because the unit is
IC-rated, it can sit in direct contact with insulation — a real advantage in Canadian attics and insulated cathedral ceilings — and the
wet location rating covers showers, covered porches and soffits. On the control side, pair it with a quality
TRIAC (forward phase) dimmer and respect the dimmer's minimum and maximum load: with 8W per fixture you can run a generous group on a single switch.
Applications, accessories and documentationTurolight lists offices, malls, hotels and residences as target applications, and that is exactly where this panel earns its keep: a corridor lined with 4" downlights at 40K, a hotel bathroom at 30K, a boutique fitting room at 35K, a basement rec room at 27K. Need a single unit to finish a room or replace one fixture? See the
PRO-SP7 single pack. For a black or nickel accent, the
RGD-SP3 black trim ring and the
RGD-SP3 brushed nickel trim ring are listed as compatible accessories. For larger open areas on the same job, the
PRO-BLP3 2x2 backlit panel keeps the same family look in a grid ceiling. The full spec sheet for PRO-SP7/4/8W/MK5/120/WH/D, with the dimensional drawing, polar candela curve and ordering guide, is in the Documentation tab.
